Have you seen Zady’s new sustainable collection inspired by Emma Watson yet? Perhaps on their Instagram? or on their website? Zady recently launched an ethically produced, sustainable collection inspired by Emma Watson in limited edition pre-order for delivery the end of October:
Khaki wool trench | $350
made from Non-mulesed wool from Uruguay, biodegradable silken lining, sewn in the US
Cable Knit Sweater | $250
GOTS certified wool and natural Alpaca fibers, spun and dyed in Italy, knitted in California
Turtleneck sweater | $165
Every aspect of this piece’s production has been considered from the natural GOTS certified wool fibers ranched in South America to the spinning and dyeing out of a Blue Sign certified facility and finally to the knitting factory in California. (via Zady)
Silk Skirt | $180
organic, cruelty free silk
Pencil Skirt | $185
made from soft wool which is certified non-mulesed and ranched in South America where it is then dyed using AZO free dyes in Italy before being cut and sewn in New York City (via Zady).
What do you think about the collection? Interested in anything? I love the chunky wool/alpaca turtleneck, and the trench is appealing, although not something I need in my wardrobe. I will say that Zady’s silk is incredibly luxurious, and very high quality. I ordered the silk shirt dress in a size medium on final sale, but it was too small for my hips 🙁 but I loved the dress, and thought it was beautifully made.
Beautiful trench coat! I would be ALL OVER that cable turtleneck if it was made of cotton. Unfortunately, no more wool for my itchy, sensitive skin.
I love, love, love this collection, and have been eyeing it since it debuted. The trouble is, I already have versions of every single item already. Not quite as elegant, I admit, but thematically close. Which I guess shows that the collection really represents my style and colour palette. And the truth is, even if all the pieces weren’t very very close to what I already have, I would still have more than enough clothes to last me through this winter and winters to come. I don’t even know whether to ask for excuses to buy, or help in ignoring my obsession with this collection. 😉 I guess I can only hope it sells out quickly before I break down. (curse you online shopping! you are so easy to fall victim to in any brief moment of weakness!)
