update – I’m not sure what to make of all this except that Jamesperse.com obviously had a glitch in their checkout system yesterday that allowed my “order” – which actually wasn’t an order since it never went through for REAL – to get posted to my debit card twice. And it seems that no one can do anything about it because there’s no order to reference. I guess everyone’s been helpful, but that doesn’t change the fact that I don’t have access to about $200 of MY MONEY and I don’t even have an order to show for it.
ugh..I’m having a JP online shopping fail right now, so just beware!! I clicked to submit my order, then clicked to submit it again after the page just refreshed (nothing appeared to happen) and still never received an order confirmation. What do you know but 5 minutes later I get two notifications from my bank that my debit card has been authorized (twice). The order didn’t go through, and my card hasn’t been charged yet, but it has been authorized for two orders, which effectively means that the money is not available to me. I guess it’s a general hazard of not using a credit card. ever. but still, I’m not happy that my card was authorized for orders that were never placed. Now, I will have to wait to place my order and what I wanted might not still be available. GAH.
