As you know, this weekend I co-organized a blogger’s conference with Indiana from Adored Austin. I still haven’t fully recovered, and there’s still much to do, but I wanted to share some photos with you!
all photos are courtesy of Nathan Russell photography, our official Photographers for the Texas Style Council Conference. If you’re in Austin, near Austin, or visiting Austin and need a photographer, call Nathan. Trust me. His wife Amy is pretty awesome too 🙂
On the “going pro” panel with Stephanie & Alessandra from Lulus.com, Patty from Charming Charlie & Elisa from BlogHer. I wore my new T by Alexander Wang dress and these Sergio Rossi platforms, courtesy of Elyse Walker (will post a better picture later, would you believe I didn’t get any really good outfit posts the WHOLE weekend??)
Jennine from the coveted, Independent Fashion Bloggers and eat, sleep, denim answering questions for the “longevity” panel next to Katy from Kansas Couture and Kyla from Blue Collar Catwalk (not pictured). She also gave our keynote address, which was wonderful; I quoted her several times during my speaking sessions…and it was such a pleasure to finally meet her after being “virtual” friends for years. Jennine is a truly wonderful and inspiring person to know.
A shot of our audience 🙂
My wonderful friends Amy from swap.com & Janette from Fashion loves people & Store Envy.
Clothing swap!!! This was amazing. I’ve been a part of a very informal clothing swap before, but this one was totally “official” and organized by Amy & Co. from Swap.com. Everyone dropped stuff off at an allotted time, then was let back in all at once to swap. So fun!!
this looks like it was a lot of fun – and congrats on organizing the event! it must have been a lot of work. did you manage to get anything for yourself during the clothing swap?
It was a fabulous conference, everything was so well planned and rewarding to attend! Can’t wait to do it again next year.

Grechen!!! What a success!! Congratulation on taking a chance and making it work. 🙂
SO SO SO SO MUCH FUN!
This looks amazing! Congrats, Grechen!
This just makes me want to get together a group of girls in the Cincinnati area to have a conference!
It was awesome!!! So well organized. You guys did good.
I keep seeing the various posts about this event, and I’m jealous I wasn’t able to make it out to Austin for it. Maybe next year – it’s only about 8 hours or so by car from New Orleans! And Austin is such a fun town anyway!
YES!! you and ashe mischief can carpool, right?? 🙂
Oh yay! I can’t wait to see the Emmanuelle Khahn top on you! She is one of my favorite designers from the 80s – have you seen her glasses??? Insane.
The conference was so much fun! Thank you so much for including me – I was honored to speak and be part of it!
And, thank you SO much for taking us on a little shopping trip too! Shopping trips with Grechen are always more fun!!

My husband and I flew in for the conference, and it was worth every minute and every penny. Thank you for organizing such a great event.
