Ah…mules. They harken back to days gone by, don’t they? I had and wore my share of mules in the late 90’s early 2000’s, but got REALLY tired of them and gave up on mules until now. Although, clogs are technically mules, right, since they don’t have a back, but let’s not split hairs here. Anyway, I am COMPLETELY obsessed with the Rag & Bone Enid mules; they are perfection, and I wish I could transform my harrow booties into mules now, because I would wear them much more often…
I generally like a more substantial mule, as opposed to the delicate ones on stiletto heels, but I am smitten with the Jenni Kayne perforated leather mules, perhaps because they’re perforated? and white?
The Zara mules are interesting. Notice how they’ve folded the back of the shoe down so you don’t have to do it yourself. I am really not a fan of that look, although I’ll admit I may have done it myself a time or two (walked on the back of my shoes). But I’d rather do it myself instead of have a designer do it for me!
What do you think of mules coming back in? Do you still have your favorites from the 90’s – 2000’s? What will you wear them with?
More of my favorites – what are yours?

Although I can be a stubborn as one, I just can’t get into mules. Maybe you can inspire me, though, to see them in a new light.
Correction: “as” not “a,” I was typing too fast.
I had always thought they were kinda ugly, but now I find myself strangely attracted to these Frye mules:

Right now I’m not into the mule trend, but give me six months when it’s out of style, and I’ll totally want them.
haha!
now those might be pushing it a bit…LOL – it’s all the styling though, and i have no doubt you could pull them off 😉
