You guys know how much I love cashmere; I want to WRAP myself in it when the weather dips below 70 (I get cold, okay??). So far, I’ve limited myself to cashmere sweaters, scarves, and the coziest cashmere blanket ever, but I’d really love a pair of cashmere pants. I’ll take either the James Perse or Inhabit pair, thank you, but I’ve been searching eBay for something too, to no avail (although there is a brown pair of the Inhabit pants there for $211). And just to clarify when I say cashmere pants, I’m speaking more of the track pant style or leggings, instead of the pajama or wide-legs pants style – although now is the time that a lot of retailers come out with cashmere lounge pants and they’re usually quite affordable. I’d definitely wear a basic pair of cashmere pants around the house, but I’d rather have something I feel good about wearing out also…
But while I can (sort of) justify $300+ for an AMAZING cashmere sweater, it’s much harder to swallow for a pair of pants. Perhaps it’s because pants have to take a lot more abuse than sweaters? I worry about them stretching out, losing their shape, getting a hole…and cashmere pants just feel like an indulgence, you know? Like the ultimate in luxury. Why cashmere pants feel like even MORE of an indulgence than cashmere sweaters, I don’t know. Anyway, I can’t quite bring myself to invest in a pair, but I want to. Do you? Do you have any cashmere pants?
**speaking of cashmere, have you entered to win a Lilly Brush yet? It’s perfect for de-pilling your favorite cashmere, wool, alpaca, hemp or cotton sweaters!
More cashmere pants

You already know, how much I love cashmere. I get cold easily too, so I own a lot of warm-wear. I have a few pairs of Eskandar cashmere pants, once again, that I bought on eBay. His sizes run a little large, so I can fit into a one. They’re cozy, beautiful, and I can dress them either up or down. I’d highly recommend his line. I also want a pair of more casual, cashmere pants, like the ones above. I’ll check your links out later. Grechen, you deserve “the ultimate in luxury.” Just treat them gently. I’d like to hear more about your cashmere blanket. I have a throw from Sierra Trading Post, but want something softer. Any recommendations and/or suggestions? I’d appreciate it. Thanks!
i do love a lot of the eskandar pieces i see on ebay, and i see them a lot at lastcall when i go, still too pricey there though!
my cashmere blanket is from qi cashmere and i got it last year when they were doing a deal with refinery29, so i got it for just about nothing (since I had credits through their voucher program). i NEVER would have paid so much for a cashmere blanket, but now that i have one, i cannot imagine living without it. i take it with me when i travel, that’s how connected i am to it! it’s small, so it’s just big enough to cover me and that’s it, but it’s SO WARM. i even use it when the AC is running in the summer. i’m sure with all the holiday gifts coming up there will be some good cashmere blankets popping up here and there. i’ll keep my eye out for recommendations.
I think you have been reading my mind! I have been eyeballing both the JP and Inhabit ones! I want a pair soooooo bad, but have the same thoughts about them as you. Let me know if you break down and buy a pair
They all look great, but I’m not sure how practical they would be for me in an Ottawa winter. I think the cold and wind would whip right through them, and they’re too expensive to just wear around the house.
BTW, I think photos 1 and 4 are switched. Isn’t #1 Inhabit and #4 JP?
ha! yes, laurel, good eye. i will fix that ASAP 🙂
they are DEFINITELY too expensive to wear around the house. but here in tx it doesn’t get that cold, so they’d be fine for me to wear out, for about two weeks LOL
i’m not sure i’ll buy a pair. maybe if i’m lucky someone reading will get them for me for my birthday 😉 – nov 2, btw. LOL that would be just way too extravagant. maybe when inhabit does a sample sale a pair will end up there?
The Birkenstocks in #4 gave it away as JP. 🙂
And way to rub it in that it doesn’t get that cold in Texas! 😉
haha!! yes. they would, wouldn’t they.
i didn’t mean to rub it in, i swear. once we move to the dallas area, it’ll be colder. sometimes it snows there! 😉
You can still score Eskandar on eBay for under $100. The quality is incredible, and the clothes are classics. In addition to the cashmere pants, I have a slouchy linen sweater that’s one of my fave finds. Now, a cashmere blanket is on Rebecca’s Radar! I’ll keep you posted:).
I love cashmere pants, in theory, but truthfully, I don’t think they would flatter my big ol’ butt! Just being completely honest here. I would wear them around the house, but my (not declawed) cat would tear a hole in them thinking I was his mother with the “paw knead paw” thing that cats do. So I’m basically not willing to spend the money for what will amount to a cat toy. 😉
Good point about cats! My cat would definitely go to town on cashmere pants. So I think that’s a definite no to cashmere pants for me.
But Grechen, we’re all waiting to see you get a pair and show us how you look!
oh man…the pressure!!!!
🙂
