Obviously…this is a video review of my new Alexander Wang Rockie bag (gift from Azalea). I love doing videos, but I tend to ramble on and on an on…so this was my fourth try at keeping it under 6 minutes 🙂 You’ll see that I failed.

Thanks for the great review Grechen! I’m curious if you can wear this bag crossbody? Are you finding the black matte hardware to be delicate or prone to chipping? I saw that mentioned in the item description and I know I’d be paranoid about having to baby my bag to prevent damage to all that gorgeous hardware. Thanks for your insight!
hi julie!! yes, i can wear it crossbody comfortably. it falls a little above my hip, which is higher than i would usually wear a bag, but it’s comfortable there, and easy to wear. if i wanted to wear it lower, or for longer, i would probably change out the strap for something wider and longer.
i have been using the bag non-stop for 1.5 weeks and i haven’t had an issue with the hardware chipping, but that’s not a very long time in the scheme of things. i never put it on the floor or “throw” it around, so i don’t forsee it happening, but if it did, i might just take a sharpie to it 😉 if it all started showing wear and chips, that might be another story though, and since i haven’t had it very long, i can’t really speak to that. i am not babying it by any means though…just treating it as i would any well-loved bag!!
I love that you did a video, your Rockie is adorable. I love how textured the leather is. I’ve been very tempted to get an Alexander Wang bag but haven’t done it yet. There’s another on my wishlist that’s ahead of it. It’s hard for me to get into really small bags too because I find myself wanting to carry my iPad. Would that fit in this bag? Or is it more accommodating for something like the iPad mini?

i wouldn’t be able to carry my ipad in here. i mean..i guess it would fit, but it would be awkward. it would fit the ipad mini though – it fits my kindle paperwhite.
for traveling, etc., i’d use my admonish tote, or 3.1 phillip lim bag instead of this, it holds much more easier. if it wasn’t so freaking heavy, it would be a good “destination” bag, but i wouldn’t want to carry it walking around for hours like we do on vacation.
