Since I received my nude Repetto BB flats from Fred Segal last week, my love for neutral/nude colored shoes has been rekindled. Generally, if you match your shoes to your skin tone, your legs will appear longer and slimmer (doesn’t work for flats, but it is true for pumps) because you create one continuous line. Anyway, I think a neutral/skin-tone colored shoe adds sophistication to an outfit, it’s kind of a surprisingly chic look (see Miss Sophie’s lovely outfit with her nude Hope pumps – perfection!), one that you don’t see very often.
These Chloe Paddington pumps aren’t exactly skin tone, but they are close, and they are very neutral. I think they’d look fabulous with a sailor-style a-line skirt and shawl-collar sweater:
