So, soon it will be Spring, and Spring always brings brighter colors and lighter clothes. I don’t know about you, but I don’t stop wearing bright colors in the Fall/Winter (I don’t really wear them much at all), so I don’t look forward to Spring to break out my colors again, but there’s just something about the impending warm weather that makes you want to shop for red bags and shoes. And actually, that’s my main fashion goal for Spring – find a gorgeous red bag, red shoes, and a bright, colorful dress. I’m still searching for the perfect red bag, but here are some of my favorites so far for Spring.
Happy Shopping!
Ananas Love this color and shape – red goes with just about anything, it even works to punch up a conservative black suit. Try it!
Anthropologie Lovely for a simple canvas bag. While I carry leather most of the time, a good canvas bag is essential for bad weather or situations where your bag might get dirty or wet. At least make it colorful and fun!
Bing Bang I’ve always wanted to try a white bag, but am bored with all the ‘basic’, simple white bags out there. I love the belt & chain details on this one, and it’s not-too-big size.
Bliss Lau Again with the chain details…(a trend this season), but even more than that, I LOVE the color and shape. 20% off at Luna Boston with coupon code ‘grechen’
![]() | Chloe Bay Bag *sigh* This is just beautiful. The color is very hot for Spring, and I’m not sure, but it looks like it might also fit messenger style, which is an added bonus (versatility). |
![]() | Goldenbleu Navy is another big color this Spring, and patent + navy – smoking!! This bag looks so easy to wear, with casual, and dressy outfits alike, and yes, even black. |
Gryson I’m not the biggest fan of the style here, but I do LOVE the color. And that’s what Spring is all about, right? Color!
![]() | Jas MB I don’t know if I’ve said this before, but I can’t say it enough: if I could, I would buy every Jas MB bag ever made, past, present, and future. I am sooo in love with all the bags, the quality is superb and the price point is PERFECT. |
Kale Lyndon Tote Kale’s quality is fabulous (I have an ‘essential’ tote from several years ago I use to carry my laptop) and is known for practicality as well as style. The Yellow is GORGEOUS and right on spot for Spring. Wear with browns, blues, white, but honestly, I would stay away from carrying it with black.
![]() | Marc by Marc Jacobs Again, as with the Gryson bag above, I’m more a fan of the color of this bag than the shape, although it’s not bad. |
![]() | Posse NYC Juliana Recently featured in Lucky Magazine, Posse NYC is one of my new favorite independent handbag designers. If you haven’t already, see my review of my Carolina Bag (still carrying it) and check them out for yourself. 25% off at Posse NYC with coupon code ‘grechen’ |
![]() | Rachel Navisk Cassidy I’m crazy about the color of this bag, but the shape is very cool as well. Off-white is probably a little more practical than white, but I’m not sure it’s easier to keep clean. |
