Thanks to all of you who’ve supported slowre (pronounced “slower” in case that wasn’t clear!!) so far, I appreciate it, and look forward to continuing to grow ๐
On that note, consignment is now open! You can find complete details here, and fill out a form to request your items be considered (plus-sizes included!!). slowre is focused on the sale and re-sale of products by designers who care about sustainability, ethical production, and conservation. We will accept many designers that produce in the US, but that is not the only qualification, nor is it necessary. If you have any questions about whether your items will be accepted, please ask!
I’ve also added some “new” pieces for sale, including a couple of necklaces I haven’t worn in years. And shoes. I decided to offer up my Everlane loafers and sneakers for sale, as neither pair has ever fit me EXACTLY as I’d like them to; they’re about 1/4 size off, interestingly enough. They’re in wonderful condition, and offered up at reasonable prices.
Oh, and shipping is 100% free right now. I struggled with that a little, because I like to ship USPS priority mail and that’s not cheap. But then again, I don’t ever buy online unless I get free shipping…so…
Also, I’m absolutely willing to ship to Canada/outside the US generally, you just need to contact me with your address so I can get a shipping estimate and adjust the shipping options for you.
I’m so excited about creating a place for people who care about sustainable style and independent designers to buy and sell pre-loved items. slowre might not be the next eBay, or TheRealReal, and that’s okay; I want to build and nurture a community of like-minded shoppers slowly and carefully, growing every day. And I can’t wait to start doing pop-up shops all over DFW!! And maybe in a city near you, unless you’re already in DFW, and in that case…
Here’s to making slow fashion even slower!
just wanted to say this is really awesome – congrats!!
