So much shopping…

I used to not go “in real life” shopping much – mostly I shopped online – but lately, I’ve been doing the opposite. And shopping in person always gets me into more “trouble” than shopping online. Online, I’m much more careful and go back and forth a lot before deciding to purchase, but in person, I sometimes have a hard time resisting. Case in point:

I finally tried on this James Perse sweatshirt after resisting for so long and instantly knew I had to have it. It’s insane. It’s big. It’s comfortable. And yes, I paid full price at Saks. But only because the other sweater I found that I was originally ONLY going to buy turned out to be 40% off + I had a GC for $25 off $150…so I got both. Here’s the other sweater I got:

Mine is navy – and it is also insane. Super comfortable, nice shape, easy fit, BIG. Yes, I realize I got two pieces with nearly identical silhouettes, but I really really like it. And amazingly enough, I don’t have a lot of oversized pieces in my closet, because I know it’s not an ideal look for my shape, but whatever. Sometimes a girl’s just got to give in to a trend. right?

I also got a pair of flare-leg jeans from the Gap that are too big and too long, but they were on sale, so I’m washing them in HOT water, then I’m probably just going to cut them to the right length. I’m just dying for a new pair of jeans, and nothing really seems to work for me right now.

That was today. Yesterday I went to check out the Barney’s sale (bust) and tried on some things at Madewell. Only this dress was interesting enough to talk about:

I loved it. But it was a little short on me, and I would have the same problem I have with other dresses – what to wear on top. So I didn’t get it, but maybe when it goes on sale…

I’m going to stop shopping, really I am. After I figure out which clogs to get (see the post below…)…
