As you read this, I’m probably at Nordstrom, actually shopping the Anniversary sale 😉 Honestly, I don’t usually buy a lot of clothing during the Anniversary sale because I’m really bad at buying out of season. I know, I know…you get great deals that way, etc., etc., but I simply cannot buy a cashmere sweater or jacket right now and have it sit in my closet until December, when I can comfortably wear it. I wish I could buy out of season, but that’s always been a tough hurdle for me to get over.
I do like to stock up on lingerie and activewear though, so I don’t think I’ll come home empty-handed. And I might be tempted by one or both of the James Perse items on sale if I can try them on in store. Have you already shopped the Anniversary sale? What did you buy? What are you going to buy?
Despite having a Nordstrom 10 minutes away from my house, I keep struggling with their selection in store. Like you I am a fan of Everlane, Rachel Comey and a few other designer. I cannot seem to find anything I like in Norsdtrom. Too many sections, too little classics. I once tried the lingerie in the hope of finding a nice fit and found that section hard to browse. To be fair all department stores hard a challenge for me. It seems like you know exactly the good pieces you would get and go straight for them.
Haven’t bought anything…YET. But the Bobbi Brown “Telluride” set is drawing me in. And I can always find Splendid basics, or shoes. Always shoes!!
I really need to stock up on active wear too! I could do with some more exercising this summer haha 😉

my nordstrom makes me crazy – it’s so crowded it’s hard to walk around, and i honestly find the sales associates pretty annoying. i try to avoid shopping there as much as possible, but my choices are limited here if i want to shop offline, so i do go every once in a while, but you’re right, i definitely know exactly what i’m looking for before i get there…
