I have always preferred slouchy, unstructured, hobo-style bags – and BIG – so I never really owned a very structured satchel-style bag until now. And in the last month, I’ve acquired two: the J.W. Hulme Legacy Bag (last seen here) & the 3.1 Philip Lim (last seen here). Maybe it’s the juxtoposition of the structure/organization of the bag against this season’s very bohemian/free clothing style that gets me, or maybe I’ve just been craving more order – in everything. I really appreciate that I don’t have to go digging very far to find my keys or lipgloss in either bag – the insides are so well-appointed with pockets.
Since I keep seeing stuff pop-up here and here from ASOS that I’d like to explore more, I decided to check it out today, but was primarily fixated on satchels…bags are always on my mind. It’s a sickness.
How beautiful is this color? I couldn’t wear it with everything, but with a black dress or white jeans? STUNNING. and it’s less than $100 at ASOS.
I also love this classic Cambridge Satchel in “metallic mango” – it’s available in lots of other colors, but this metallic version could really be quite versatile, while still being very cool. $198 at ASOS:
What do you think? Are you working a satchel this season? Is it a style that you generally love? or not so much?
I like it, especially green one…
I love the green one, Grechen! Well, satchels are always easy and convenient to lug around. They’ve got pockets and compartments which are really what a carry-all girl loves.
There’s something so classic and pulled together but non-prissy about a satchel, isn’t there? I am digging the Kate Spade Scout style, but the ASOS options are adorable and MUCH easier on the wallet!
