I’ve been wearing my Splendid vintage whisper circle tee a lot lately, and saw that it was on sale at Shopbop for $46, so wanted to share. I sort of started wearing it so often because I was drooling over this one at JOLIE/laide and noticed that it’s remarkably similar to my Splendid tee…it doesn’t look like the J/l tee is the same circle style, but it does have the same slouchy silhouette and nearly identical arm openings. And I think what makes the Splendid tee great is that even though it is oversized, it doesn’t look like I’m swimming in it because of the narrower bottom hem.
I wear a size M/L because I want it to be oversized and slouchy – anyway, I don’t think this style is suited to more fitted, so I’d recommend this size regardless. If you don’t have hips, this top will probably fall loosely around your hips. But I do…so sometimes it gets stuck there 😉

The Splendid circle tee is also available in white at Splendid (but not on sale). oh. and I wash/dry this top with no problem. I’ve had it for a while and run it through the laundry several times, and it’s holding up nicely. At first, I didn’t dry it, but then I got lazy….it’s holding up well though.
Well, now I’m just obsessed with the JOLIE/laide tee. Do you know if 0 and 1 are the only two sizes they offer? Or do they have sizes like James Perse and are out of all the other numbers?
Christina, I follow Andrea’s blog and I believe they only carry 0 and 1 in the new tee. Bummer. I wish there was more size info about it! Very cool…on her. Not so sure it would be cool on 54-yr old, considerably larger me. But I love the Splendid tee because it’s so similar, but WAY more affordable!
And Grechen, aren’t you the daring one with the dryer. 😉
i don’t know much about the tees at all…i’d imagine it’s sized like the splendid tee i’m wearing: xs/s is 0 and m/l is 1 – i really love those tees, but $125 is a bit rich even for me!!
