These are the first high-end jeans I’ve purchased in almost two years…I thought it was time for a denim update. About a month ago, I did buy some gap jeans; the Long & Lean and Bootcut styles. I like them, but there’s always something ‘off’ with Gap jeans, so they’re never my go-to jeans of choice. I still wear my Goldsign Desire jeans the most, they are my favorites, and I think they flatter my butt more than any other pair I own. But I knew I needed to update my selection of pants/jeans, so I decided to give these a try.
I am in a size 32. If you are not as hippy as me, you could probably size down a size in these, they do tend to run slightly big. But I like that, you see, because that means they’ll actually fit me! They are technically mid-rise, but because of my hips, they are low-rise on me…not a problem though, because I wear longer tops/sweaters anyway. Also, they are 100% cotton, so they do stretch a bit with wear, but not so much to affect the look/fit. The side seam is a little ‘twisted’ which gives them a unique look, and the leg is ultra-wide, as well as flared. The denim is lightweight, but not ultra-thin, so it will be just as comfortable in Winter as it will in Spring.
Mine are black – I chose these instead of a dark denim because I already have dark denim; I don’t have any black pants. And I just thought they were so chic and flattering in black. Here they are at Active Endeavors (use code ‘better’ and save 25% for a limited time, and then ‘grechen’ for 20% off), and Shopbop.
