First, the bag…I have been wanting a light/white bag for quite some time, but was very nervous to pull the trigger because I know how dirty they can get. When I had the opportunity to get this one for 20% off, I decided I should take it – and I had been looking at this particular bag for a while. At first glance, it looked like paper. And honestly, the leather feels a bit like paper. It’s thin leather, slightly ‘wrinkled’ and you can feel the cardboard inside that shapes the bag. That said, the shape is so cool, and I instantly fell in love with this bag. Of course I had to carry it immediately (had plans to shop Ikea with SO) and didn’t pay attention to the fact that I was wearing my DARKEST jeans. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you what happened…but my bag is now blue. I’m not too worried about it, I’ve heard good things about Apple leather cleaner, so I’ll pick some up and try it out.
Anyway, I think the bag looks best when carried by hand – when it’s full (and it holds a lot) it hangs funny…kind of out from your body…when I have the shoulder strap on. It’s a bit better when carried messenger style, but it still hangs funny. I have been carrying it by hand mostly, but have the shoulder strap inside so I can use it if I need to. All in all, the bag is of good quality, I love the color/shape/texture and it’s very light, so it works well with all my crap inside!
On to the dress. I LOVE IT. I bought it from Shopbop, but it seems to be off the site right now (I’ll update this when I find it again). I did have to close up about 8 inches of the side slit because it opened all the way to my upper thigh, which was a little too high lol 🙂 I thought about hemming it, but it’s still easy to walk in because of the slit – I don’t step on it. I’m a prude, so I always wear a slip underneath dresses/skirts, but I do think it needs it…it’s fairly sheer. I love to layer it, but you can definitely wear it alone, or over a white tank top.

I love that it adds interest to my outfits, and looks great with everything. The quality is great, and the length of the chain can be adjusted by fastening it in different rings.
