Veja Sustainable Marble Sneakers | $108 at Bandier
I mentioned Veja sustainable (organic cotton, sustainable rubber, fair employment) sneakers a while ago when they popped up at Zady. I ordered a gray “running shoe” style and LOVE them, but I’ve also been obsessing over a white pair. They’ve been in and out of stock consistently most places – they sell out fast – but are now in stock in all sizes at Bandier in silver, white, and white marble.
I ordered the marble pair in my size, 8, along with this Spiritual Gangster shirt I’d given up on being re-stocked in my size. Oh, and try code werkit10 (it worked for me an hour ago) for 10% off. And yes, that’s the last of my birthday/holiday money. Well spent, I hope.
I’m not convinced I’ll love the white sneakers on me, but I want to try them anyway. You never know until you try!!
PSA? Ha!
I had coveted the gold Veja’s before, but they never restocked them. (And I like the silver better anyway.) Thanks for enabling me again. 😉
In theory I was going to try justify them by saying that I’m saving them for “spring,” but who am I kidding?
I love the silver!!! I wanted to get those instead but I know myself… Id probably wish I’d gotten white forever.
I have been on a kick to get these for a couple days now so great timing! Can you (or anyone else) help me with size? Usually 7.5 but wide feet- should I do the 8?
I think they mention that the style tends to run big, so an 8? I have pretty normal feet so I got my normal size.
I’ve been in love with the gray ones ever since you first mentioned them but they’ve never been available in my size! None of the other colors are doing it for me. Any other sustainable sneakers to recommend?
good question…i’ll look for some, but there really aren’t a whole lot of truly sustainable shoe brands.
matt & nat is launching a shoe line this year, they’re vegan, but can also be sustainable to a certain extent (we’ll see what they choose to make their shoes out of). of course, there’s stella mccartney….but $$$$ – also coclico.com and feitonline.com. but still. all are $$$ – i’ll do some more research 😉
