(fog linen works jill shirt at Mill Mercantile – $175)
Anything linen is like crack to me for warm weather; give me ALL of it. And a linen popover? BONUS! That Fog Linen Works shirt is the ultimate linen pullover in my humble opinion, but I also love a good cotton gauze peasant top for summer.
I’ve collected some of my favorite popovers and peasant tops from all over the internets, but even as I’m reluctant to admit it, J Crew and Madewell seem to have the market cornered on affordable, classic, summer popovers. As much as their quality frustrates me, I have been relatively impressed with the one Madewell shirt I have left, and think that if you tend to stick with mostly cotton you probably can’t go wrong. Especially for the price if you tend to wear shirts like this often.
1 MiH New studio shirt | $245 at Shopbop
2 Madewell tie front peasant top | $88 at Madewell
3 Mes Demoiselles Ophelia top | 25% off at Les Nouvelles
4 J Crew corded popover | $79 at J Crew
SO MANY more favorites…

Do you wear popovers and peasant shirts in warmer weather? What’s your favorite?
Oh man, I’ve been looking for a white button-down for the summer but that Mother popover at Revolver may fill that need… I hate to spend that much money on something I’m destined to spill coffee or red wine on though.
I LIVE for popover tops!!! In fact, I’m wearing one today, but it’s red plaid from J Crew & my new favorite Old Navy (YES!) boyfriend jeans, with white converse.
I may end up wanting one or two from your amazing selection, but that Fog Linen Works from Mill Mercantile is tops. I love Mill’s online presence!
that mother one is so good…it’s one of my very favorites.
you can usually use code TULIP at revolve for 10% off, or sign up for their emails and they’ll send you a 10 or 15% off code.
can’t help you with the spilling thing though 😉
Lovely selections! I like a voluminous top as long as it doesn’t look too “renaissance” 🙂
