I really really really don’t like the jeans with pointy-toe shoes look that was so hot I don’t know when, 8-9 years ago? It’s so dated…but I do still see it, and think why? WHY? And honestly, I’m not much of a fan of pointy-toes in any situation, but while visiting my friend Sari at Ralph Lauren recently, I tried on a pair of these shoes with a pointy/narrow toe and while it was a shock initially, I see how the style could grow on me….a pointy toe DOES lengthen and slim the leg…
And then I saw these Michael Kors clogs at Shopbop and started thinking about trying pointy toes again…
especially how they look with these leggings – perfect, in my opinion:
What say you? Pointy-toe? or round toe?

I have actually tried both, and from these 2 styles, the one by Jeffrey Campbell looks a lot better on the foot. That is not to say that pointy toes are bad, I am only commenting in these 2 styles.
interesting…thanks for your input! i actually tried on some of the other style clogs by jeffrey campbell and could not manage to walk in them. i used to be able to do super-high platforms, no problem. now, it’s a problem 😉
the round isn’t actually that round…. not much difference between the two but i personally prefer round because more comfortable on the “toes”.
While usually I’m a pointy-toe fan, I’m going to say go with the rounded toe of these two pairs. I don’t like the line running down the middle of the Michael Kors; it ruins the aesthetic.

I would normally say “round”, but the Michael Kors looks look like a modern, sleek, and sophisticated update of more traditional clogs to me.
From what I’ve seen of your posts and pics Grech, you might be happier with the round. To me they seem to suit your style and gosh, wouldn’t it be terrible to make a $250 clog mistake!!!
I’m liking the round better. Sometimes a pointy toe style adds length to your foot – while that might be fine if you are a size, not so much if you are a size 12. I think the rounded toe looks more balanced and natural and has the ability to be dressed up or down. For some reason, the pointy toe looks more formal.
i think it really depends on what kind of jeans you’re paring the pointy toe shoes with. i think skinny or cuffed jeans look fine as it shows some ankle and allows the shoe to look more balanced (ie: i wouldn’t mind wearing a pair of pointy-toe louboutins!). but the super pointy witchy heels with the kind of freaky extended point on the toe with bootcut or flare jeans? THOSE remind me of people magazine celeb style shots from the late 90s! 😛
