(And by “different person” I mean tall & skinny) I’d wear these Vanessa Bruno shorts:
I’m generally not a fan of shorts though. Not only just on me because of my large(r) legs, but on a lot of other people too. I feel like a knee-length skirt is just as “cool” in the Summer (or even more so) and a little more modest. Not that I’m a prude, but really, aren’t there some people you DON’T want to see in shorts???
But I’d totally wear these shorts if I had nice legs; with a white tee and nude wedges. Talk about head-turning!
(I was inspired to post this based on Dramatis Personae’s “If I were another girl” series…)
Love the shorts, but I agree that the skirt is the most elegant hot-weather choice. However, my thighs do rub together a bit and in summer this sometimes can create chafing and/or a nasty heat rash– My friends call this “rubby-thigh”. Anyone have any skirt wearing advice for those of us with non-model legs?
I’m glad I’m not a different person, but sometimes I wish that I had rejoiced in the body that I had as a 20 yr. old. I think I took it for granted and focused on every [perceived] flaw instead of wearing what looked great on my long legs and strong shoulders. So, I would wear a gorgeous L’Wren Scott dress and heels, heels, heels!! (I always want what I can’t have–with foot/achilles tendon surgery, heels are most likely a relic of the past…sigh…).
i have that problem too carolyn!! my solution is to wear spanx, but that can get kind of warm. i think it’s not a bad trade-off though.
Oh man, I play that game all the time when I’m shopping and posting. Glad to know I’m not the only one.
I am so not a shorts fan! Skirt me any day! I reintroduced shorts into my closet last summer, but really, skirts are much more flattering!
These are gorgeous, but much too short for me. Add a couple of inches, and I would be all over them!
