This was my weekend outfit, and by that I mean, I wore this outfit Saturday and Sunday. I might have changed out the shoes/cardigan depending on the time of day and occasion, but I lived in the skirt:
wearing: Madewell skirt | LnA Tank Top | Ella Moss open cardigan | J.W. Hulme Legacy Bag | Kurt Geiger Platforms
The Madewell skirt isn’t online yet, but it’s THE PERFECT skirt. Ask Joyce. I love the slight pleating so it hangs away from my body, and how the light rayon drapes (it’s 100% rayon). I wore the skirt with flats on Saturday as I left the house, but came back wearing these AMAZING Kurt Geiger platforms I picked up at Moss designer consignment. One of the owners, Emily, picked them out for me (we share the same taste in shoes) and I had to have them. Plus I had some credit there since all the stuff I took in recently sold (yay!!).
And the cardigan…I bought this long white skirt at Anthropologie on Friday, and while I loved it, once I got the Madewell skirt, I felt like I didn’t “need” the Anthropologie skirt anymore. And it’s VERY boho. Not that I don’t love that, but it’s a look I haven’t REALLY embraced in a while, so I decided to take it back and got the Ella Moss cardigan instead. I think it’s a size small. It’s great, perfect for covering my arms when I want to wear a tank top. With the white skirt, I was worried I’d have to “think” too much – about what I’m wearing underneath, where I’m going (so it won’t get dirty), and what to wear it with. I’m not ready for that right now 🙂
Love this outfit! I’ve been on the hunt for a maxi skirt and you know I can’t resist Madewell…
The skirt is so perfect!!!
And I’m glad you got the Ella Moss cardigan, it’s exactly what Texas summers and air conditioning call for!
I love you maxi skirt and bag. They’re classic!
