wearing: James Perse tube dress (super-old) | Kaori Cardigan | Vintage Belt | No6 Clogs | J.W. Hulme Bucket bag
This is my final outfit – but originally I was wearing my SURevolution necklace and no belt:
Which outfit do you like better? Please notice that I did not photoshop out my arm fat (I actually NEVER touch anything up in photos, what you see is what you get :)) I thought about it, but decided against it, because I mean, who among us doesn’t have a little arm fat from a tube dress/top? anyone?
Anyway, I suppose I could have worn both the belt and the necklace, but I just can’t do it. Maybe a less heavy necklace would have worked, but I feel overdone when I wear too many accessories. I wish I could get over that. Or at least learn better what necklaces to wear with belts…
Speaking of necklaces, I think I finally decided what to use my Dannijo Refinery29 Reserve deal on, the Kalbarri:
But then again..I also love this one:
I’m of course drawn mostly to their more “simple” styles (not the colorful ones), but I really do need to add some color to my outfits and either one of these necklaces would absolutely do the trick; they’re both stunning. If I’m going to get over my fear of color, I might as well do it in a BIG way, right??
Which one would you choose for me?
I think they are both awesome, but I’d go with the first one. In Austin, any orange item of clothing/accessory/etc is assumed to support UT, and I don’t know if you are that big of a fan 🙂
OMG cathy…thanks for reminding me about the orange being associated with UT!!! no, i’m really not a fan at all. but i do like orange 🙁
The styling on both outfits is quite good, but I LOVE the first one with the belt and the delicate necklace. I just think it’s perfect, makes you look fantastic.
I like the first one with the belt. It defines your waist more and the necklace is delicate enough to notice but not be overload with the belt.
