Rachel Comey Monterrey Pants | mine are sold out, link goes to white version
James Perse brushed jersey turtleneck | size 1
Robert Clergerie Alice slides (LOVE the denim version – and this natural raffia style)
Jas M.B. bag | very old
Just a look at what I’m wearing RIGHT THIS SECOND. That is all.
Happy Wednesday!!!
There you go wearing my favourite jeans again. Since these were already sold out when you first sent a pix of them, I finally bit the bullet and bought the Kordal alternative on sale (still too expensive for me but oh, well…….)
Happy Wednesday to you! Love the look. That shirt looks so soft and comfy.
In love with those jeans! This is a very flattering silhouette on you G (fitted sleek top with the high waist and flare). You look long and lean.
Hi Grechen-
Happy Hump Day
Me too love this on you because you look so happy and comfy wearing it –
Enjoy the day 🙂
On the eve of an expected massive snowstorm here in NY, I’m loving seeing a little slice of skin on those ankles. Loving those frayed hems too. I have a pair of Eileen Fisher pants that have a similar shape and length and flow. I’ve worn them just a couple of times because they feel pretty formal to me (they’re black) and I can’t figure out the shoe thing. So I’m inspired now. Thank you!!!
Killing it today!
I’m still on the fence about wider, slightly cropped pants…by the time I finally go over it, the trend will be over! I’m considering the Eileen Fisher. You like them?
I love this one, Grechen! So beautiful, elegant and unusual, and those slides are killing me, I adore them!
Val – the ones I have are on massive sale now at Nordstrom Rack. For some reason I can’t copy the link here, but search for Eileen Fisher Wide-Leg Ankle Pant if you’re interested. They’re a substantial tencel twill – and a lot of fabric, between the billowy legs and the front pleating. I do like them but they take some getting used to. I haven’t really gotten the hang of what to wear with them yet. To give you an idea, I’m 5’4″/140 and have the petite medium, which is one of my two usual EF sizes (the other is regular small). They’re a great price at the rack but only in non-petite sizes. Hope that helps!
I have my eye on these that are in the line now. They look to be more pared down, and the washable stretch crepe is a snap to take care of

Thanks, Christine! Your feedback is very helpful. I do like both of the wide-leg pants you talked about, but the pair on the EF site IS more pared down and thus, more wearable for me. I’m tall, but not slim! (5’10” and a size 14) I think they look good with a closer fitting top (like Grechen styled her RC jeans) or a more cropped length if the top is wider. But as Grechen always challenges me: “Try the unexpected, like flowy over flowy!”
