I love that we all seem to have adopted LSJ (light spring jacket) as part of our wardrobe nomenclature here at Grechen’s Closet! Even more, I am LOVING the actual LSJ. I wore my Eileen Fisher jacket Monday and Tuesday to Atlanta for Passover, and then when we arrived home yesterday and my new Atlelier Delphine jacket was waiting for me, I put it on and headed out to run errands.
I was considering getting the Elizabeth Suzann Emma kimono, but the lack of pockets held me back. What I love the most about the LSJ is that it’s something I can throw on and ADD pockets to whatever I’m wearing. Like a James Perse dress, leggings, or my Elizabeth Suzann Cecilia pants.
The Atelier Delphine jacket is VERY LARGE, as it is meant to be, but comfortable, and not entirely overwhelming. I prefer the square pockets on the front of the jacket to the side pockets on my Eileen Fisher jacket, and I love the shawl collar on this jacket. The cotton is mid-weight, so not light enough to wear outside in the summer, but it will be wonderful for wearing in air conditioning, and for car travel.
See my recent post on LSJ’s for more great options from Garmentory and otherwise.
What do you think? Can you get behind a LSJ for transitional weather? or do you wear one more frequently?

LSJ Perfection!
I LOVE a light weight spring jacket and recently purchased this Henrik Vibskov one.

It is gigantic and has huge pockets and works great with so many things I have.
It’s also so easy to throw on over my yoga teacher attire and feel nice and covered up to and from class. (I’m not much of one for active wear outside of active wear actives, no judgement of those who are, just a personal preference)
In Florida, as soon as the weather turns a little warm stores and business turn the air conditioner on full blast, and I normally run cold, so this is a great extra layer.
Gretchen- have you looked at the Hackwith Swim collection? The suits are GORGEOUS.
yes! i have a high-waisted bikini bottom and halter top from HDH swim that i bought a couple of years ago and i LOVE. we’re going to costa rica next month so i need to have a second suit with me i think….i love the new one-pieces there!!
love that jacket!!! and those henrik vibskov pants you have are so good…i’m really tempted by them now, and you know how i feel about color/patterns. but i love how you paired them with a simple black top!
i’m with you on not wearing active wear after “active activities” LOL – i can’t do it. and i don’t really want to either…
Those pants are a linen/ tencel blend and hang so well and feel so light weight and great. I.love.them. I have them on today also, with the Elizabeth Suzann Petra crop, its surprising how many ways one can style such “loud” pants 🙂
Not related to the LSJ (which I love btw), but went to look at the other Atelier Delphine offerings…
I LOVE these tops and dresses with this really subtle back cut out detail. Still bra-friendly but adds some interest.

oh, i love those so much. the cutout detail is so good!
I love that jacket and would have bought one, but there’s no sizing information on the web and Atelier Delphine didn’t ever respond to the email I sent asking for sizing information. I do have the EF one and love it, and I considered the ES one you mentioned but didn’t realize that it didn’t have pockets. Pockets are key! I’m really loving the LSJ now because of the temperature changes that we have throughout the day as spring arrives.
yes, i agree, the sizing was a little confusing, but the seller i bought from on garmentory seemed to make it more clear than others. mine is an xs, and would absolutely fit up to a large very well.
i am OBSESSED WITH THIS: https://www.mohawkgeneralstore.com/collections/henrik-vibskov/products/lemon-jumpsuit-in-whisk-dark
Awesome LSJ-paired with the clyde pant and perfect white tee- I bought the single button denim blazer in M from Eileen as a new LSJ but it was too big. It was really nice in NY today I only had to wear my jacket on the way home.
I Love that jumpsuit too!!! I’ve been fight off the urges to buy it myself!
