So, I had already made up my mind to return these Stuart Weitzman clogs I got two days ago at Nordstrom Rack for $129 (cheaper than I’ve found them for sale online) and now that I look at these pictures, I’m not so sure π They’re pretty comfortable, at least just from walking around the house (no, I haven’t worn them outside yet), and I’ve been in love with them forever. But I am trying to picture myself wearing them often, and I can’t…What do you think?
And can I just say again how much I love my new Alexander Wang Darcy bag (also at Satine for 10% off using code “grechens10”)?? I love the color with my otherwise neutral outfit, and she’s so so so so easy to carry – really comfortable.
I’m also wearing another new top – I got this one at Calypso a couple nights ago (I don’t see it online anywhere) when they were offering 20% off in store. It was marked down to $49 and I got an extra 20% off. I also got another Velvet t-shirt (seen here) that was marked down. And since I didn’t mention it yesterday (I was posting in a hurry!!), my top was by Gemma for Barney’s Co-Op, also on sale. They’re both really great tops – I was looking for more tops to wear with jeans that aren’t fitted. Last night I wore the one I’m wearing right now with jeans, out, and I thought it was pretty cute. They’re just easy to wear and build simple, chic outfits around.
Speaking of outfits, I think I’m ready for a challenge. They’re going around a lot lately – challenges urging people to live in 6 or 10 or 30 items for 30 days, or similar. My new blogger friend Kendi from Kendi everyday is doing a 30 for 30 challenge right now, and I’m going to join her, but I’m going to twist it around a bit, and make mine a James Perse everyday challenge. I’ve been talking about doing this forever, and I feel like now’s the time. So, for the next 4 weeks I’ll be wearing ONLY James Perse. I’m not sure yet if I’ll allow repeats; maybe I’ll try to wear different pieces everyday, and not overlap at all. I may even include the weekend in that challenge, but I’m not sure I’ll post the outfit pictures…
(p.s. I’m going to be putting my black/black studs Alexander Wang Diego bucket bag up on ebay, but I’ll offer it here first if anyone wants to make an offer…)
You should definitely keep the SW clogs–they look amazing on you and may I just comment on how jealous I am of your teeny tiny waist?!?!
I am SURE that you could post 30 James Perse outfits in a row without doing any repeats! lol…: )
I love your outfit today, Grechen! That skirt is so flattering and looks really comfortable – it’s the exact kind of skirt I’ve been looking for lately. And the clogs look great, too. I know you love them clogs.
thank you both π
but i took the clogs back…i need a new phone (iphone 4!!!!!!) more than i need a pair of clogs right now. and i’m not certain i would “really” wear them that much. if i had a ton of money, i’d have kept them…
I really like this outfit on you… even if you’re going to return the shoes. You look so cute! And we hardly ever get to see your legs and a defined waist. You look fabulous. You should wear shorter skirts/dresses with belts more often! =)
i just blogged about this too! i think returning the clogs was the right choice…you shouldn’t buy anything just because its on sale if you’re not absolutely sure about them π love your overall look though – perfect synthesis of all the best summer style elements!
that skirt looks so great on you….I say keep the clogs!
thanks miss sophie – and i loved your post…
now, since i returned the clogs and sold my alexander wang diego bag on ebay, i’m going to get a pair of the no6 t-strap clogs π
yummy!!!
I love that skirt, but I can’t tell from this post what it is? Where did you get it and what is it?
sorry!! the skirt is from anthropologie – it’s fabulous π
