AG Tomboy crop jeans | made in the US (crop at AG, longer version on sale at The Outnet)
Skargorn tee | made in the US (white sold out, striped version on sale at UO – I’m wearing an XS)
Rachel Comey Moon Wedge slides
Proenza Schouler PS1 in dark olive | purchased with credit from Forzieri
Margot Wolf necklace | made in the US
And quite tall, I might add. It’s weird to see myself with heels on, weirder than it is to wear them, actually, since it’s been so long. I love the Rachel Comey moon wedge slides, and even though I only wore them to get my color/highlights done (which is why I’m wearing my contacts by the way…), I didn’t have any problems walking in them – they’re quite comfortable, actually.
The peep-toe was also good for my not-quite-ready-for-spring toes. Bonus!
Happy Wednesday!! What are you wearing today?
Those shoes look great! I LOVE flat shoes, and hate to admit how flattering heels can be, but they really are. Glad to hear these are comfortable (but no matter what, NOTHING will be as comfortable as shoes like the Vince sneakers!)
Today I’m wearing some new straight-leg crepe T by Alexander Wang black pants–they have an elastic waist in the back, but I’m telling myself they don’t really look like old-lady pants π –plus a navy silk Equipment top from last year that I love and a short black Rag & Bone blazer with leather trim.. I wish I had my new Vince suede slip-ons to wear with it but will make do with my loafers for now.
true, jen…the vince sneakers are the most comfortable shoes i own.
your outfit sounds awesome!! want to see a picture! π
Hi Grechen.
I am a new visitor & I have been reading your archive posts. You made a comment on the buying multiples post that has made me understand the reasons for my recent obsession with this mode of buying. In the last year both my dogs passed away @ age 13 & husband diagnosed with a life limiting condition. If I find an item of clothing I love I buy 3. I stockpile favourite toiletries & cleaning products. I get quite hysterical if one of my core items gets discontinued. This behaviour exasperates me but now I understand it’s linked to fear of losing things. I just didn’t realise until I read your words. I think moving forward this is really going to help me. Thank you so much.
I’m rather in slob wear .. stripe t-shirt, old jeans, tennis shoes .. didn’t feel like getting all ‘cute’ today .. lol.
Your look great though! I sure like your white t-shirt .. looks pretty and flowy.
Monica.

oh my goodness…i’m so sorry sharon, for your losses and your husband’s diagnosis. i’m glad my words meant something to you, though, and i hope you can use them to heal, and move forward. just my having that realization of WHY i stockpile, why i tend to “hoard” certain things helped me go beyond my emotional knee-jerk reaction to buy buy buy, lest i be left with nothing, to a much more deliberate way of buying only what i need at the moment. i even pass up buying things on sale or at deep discount because i don’t need them right now, and anyway, don’t have the budget. before, i wouldn’t have hesitated…
thank you so much for your comment, and sharing your struggle with us!
Cute! I love this outfit on you.
I love that shirt! But not the options available online now π
Today – standard work wear of black pants & cardigan. The pants today are wide leg (usually I wear slim cut) and the cardigan is paisley. Black tee underneath, and black polka dot dansko flats π
I have to go to China for work – leave Friday – packing all over the living room, trying to pack appropriately for my agenda & the climate, but pack light too. Right now – 2 pr slim black pant, 2 ponte dresses, assorted tops & a couple cardigans & scarves. We’ll see if that’s what makes it into the bag…..
Ice skate day with my baby girl…athleta leggings, eileen fisher tunic and vest, my new pre-loved repetto flats from my favourite blogger friend!
Loving the moon shoes on you!
I’ve always admired women who manage to look great in jeans and a simple, white tee, and you certainly do! The shoes are great, I recently purchased a pair of peep toe booties from Steve Madden, and I can’t wait until the weather warms up so I get to wear them π Today I wore Chelsea boots, slim dark blue jeans and a breton stripe merino wool sweater, as we actually had temperatures below zero (centigrades) this morning.
Damn, girl!!! Another great outfit. These really do you justice!
Hi Sharon! We’re all a “work in progress” here. It’s a judgement-free zone. Welcome!
I bought the striped version, and honestly, as much as I love stripes, I should have returned it….NOT flattering. The white oversized version is GREAT, however!
Sorry, I should answer the question: 525 oversized Shaker knit tunic in Merlot, gray yoga pants, black slip-on Circus by Sam Edelman Sneakers (which came unglued already, btw. UGH!)
thanks karianne! here’s hoping you get warm weather soon…i love peep toes!
i’m surprised madewell doesn’t have more of these in stock – maybe they’ll get some in for summer? i know they were really popular last year. and it’s a good shirt, just a little annoying that it falls off my shoulders so much, but i guess that’s okay when it’s hot out.
wow. good luck with that! how long are you staying? please report back on what you took!
oh…that’s a shame val. can you get them repaired?
cute outfit though π
It’s called my “I’m babysitting today and so I have to be able to crawl around on the floor” outfit. The precocious 6-yr old once told me, “My mom would NEVER let us wear yoga pants in public!” So, I, being the passive-aggressive person I am, wear them all the time. π
As for the shoes, they’re really not worth it. I’m going to glue them until I can get a pair of Vans perforated black leather sneaks.
So pretty:).

I’m there 6 nights, all work this time. I’m packed – I’ll try to remember to take photos when I unpack and see if there’s anything I don’t wear or wish I’d had with me – I try to do that each time I travel – CQI and all π I have to admit I packed in anticipation of eating many soup dumplings…..
ah. soup dumplings. they’re my favorite!!
can’t wait to hear about your packing….
