Today is a big day for me…I’m going sleeveless! If there’s anything I dislike about my body more than my knees it’s my upper arms, so I NEVER leave the house without sleeves of some sort. But it’s hot, and yes, sometimes there is a BIG difference between short sleeves and no sleeves at all when it’s 100+ outside.
**edited: I almost changed into a short-sleeved shirt after I saw the picture. But I’m going to suck it up and try leaving the house in exactly what you see above. Wish me luck!!
First of all, your arms are lovely. You should show them more often! At least they aren’t two different colors like mine…….
And yes, there is a huge difference between short sleeves and sleeveless in this heat. I’m considering wearing a bathing suit to work tomorrow. Yeah, it’s that hot. I love your belt 🙂
You look great! I also have issues with my arms but it’s true – when it’s 100 degrees out there (as it is right now in NYC), you just have to show em or risk sweating too much. I love this look. I’m a big fan of white tanks paired with dark skirts/shorts/etc so this is just my cup of (iced) tea.
Although we all have qualms about our body that are very real to ourselves – I just wanted to let you know that I think you look great! I hope getting out there without some sleeves eventually felt more comfortable to you as the day went on. 🙂
haha! thanks diana!! i got more comfortable with it as the afternoon wore on…and it got hotter…
thanks katie! i definitely felt better once i was out
ha!! my fiance asked me why his arms were two different colors the other day. i thought of you.
It was so hot in Minnesota this week that I actually said, “To hell with it! My arms are my arms…without those things, I couldn’t lift a makeup brush!!”, and I wore a sleeveless sundress with a cami under it to work. No one fainted at the sight of my arms, no one got sick, no one even stopped eating…but it took a lot of courage to do it. You’ve done SUCH great work on yourself and bod, that I don’t think you realize how great you look, yet!! (it’ll get there…trust me) I also LOVE the makeup look–fresh and beautiful–no one would guess that it was sweltering out!
and i’m sure you even forgot that you weren’t comfortable in the first place. at least i do. and it’s 103* here today so it’s a sleeves-be-gone type of day. stay cool. 🙂
I think your arms are not only not too bad, they are beautiful. You have gorgeous skin. Why not show it?
this may be one of my favorite outfits so far. you look great!!
You look great! I also have an upper arm “thing”. Honestly you look awesome and I LOVE the outfit!
