Gap Legging jeans
Banana Republic Chambray shirt
Lizzie Fortunato necklace
Jas M.B. bag
I’m on my way to San Diego right now (my husband is speaking at LinuxCon and I’m tagging along!) and this is what I’m wearing. Gap & Banana Republic in the same outfit…who would have thought. I’ve not really had the best of luck with either store, the last thing I bought from Banana Republic was actually a boat neck top that I still wear, and it’s a zillion years old, so it’s held up well, but there’s never a lot that I LOVE there. But I do love this top. I wish it was a bit more fitted, or nipped in at the waist, but I don’t think I’m ever going to find THE PERFECT chambray top to fit my body. I’ve tried on many the last few days, from everywhere I can think of, and they all pretty much fit the same: very snug at my hips. But this one was my favorite after all, and the cheapest after an extra 40% off yesterday.
There are a few more things I have my eye on at Banana Republic, and since they ALWAYS have a 30% off coupon code coming just around the bend (they’re actually having one starting 8/31, but I can’t say much more about that. Just watch Grechen’s Codes for details!), I won’t bust my budget. Actually, I’ll just have more to spend on other things. 😉
Yay you got the chambray top!
I love it one you. I bought that one and found that it was too tight across the back for me. But I often run into the “too tight in the hips” problem. In fact, there’s a “Frank & Eileen” shirt that I really want and you’d think that if you spend over $100 on a basic shirt that the fit would be great, right? Not so! Tight in the hips once again. So, I’ll wait it out for now and hope that manufacturers get on-board….or I lose a ton of weight. Whichever comes first (somehow, I think I’ll be the one that has to give).
do they not realize that women have hips?? it’s like they’re manufacturing for men sometimes….
Totally agreed. Or 14 yr. old girls…
