Those of you who have been reading Grechen’s Closet for a while know that my color palette is VERY limited – and muted; I usually stick to gray, black & white and sometimes navy. When I do throw some color in, however, it’s usually orange or burgundy, and this happens very rarely (although as frequently as Friday…). So you’ll recognize that this sweater, is quite a bit out of my “comfort” zone:
But I like it. It’s not easy to style, and we’ll see how annoying it’ll be if it falls off my shoulder often, but I think I can work with it…
What I’m wearing:
James Perse pants
C&C California turtleneck
Whit cashmere sweater (I got mine via Gilt, but it’s available on sale at Frances May)
Repetto cap-toe BB flats
Jas M.B. handbag
I think the red looks amazing on you!!
Well, it looks great! Love the red with the grey!
Whoa! I love how it pops on you!

it looks great on you and now I’m banging my head for returning mine, I think the color looks amazing. I love your haircut, too!
You look adorable in this outfit, Grechen! I could not pull off that vibrant a red…but you sure can, girlfriend!
Is 2011 the “year of color” for you?
thank you susan!!
i don’t know…maybe it is the “year of color” for me!! almost bought a bright purple suede bag this AM!!!!
thanks nanashi – the color is great, but i do know that without anything underneath it (just a tank or something) it will slip a lot more.
i don’t feel bad keeping it, because i paid with credits on gilt, but if i had paid cash, i might think again!
