Wow. I think I’ve only just now recovered from Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, etc. Not only was I busy posting sales & codes, but I was also SHOPPING! I really didn’t buy much, but there were a few holes in my wardrobe I needed to fill, which I have. My most pressing need was for shoes, and after that, I really wanted to pick up a couple of tie-waist cardigans, one specifically to wear with leggings. I don’t have an outfit picture yet, but my wonderful father (who was visiting this week) bought this sweater from Anthropologie for me. It’s absolutely perfect, and works well with my black Hudson pants/leggings. I love the color, and although the detailing around the waist is “interesting,” it works on me, and I love how it showcases my waist.
Then on cyber Monday when Endless was offering $30 off orders over $100, I picked up two pairs of Swedish Hasbeens (I’m now sure I will pick up any style, any color that goes on sale – I love these shoes!). I realized after ordering and sending back the two pairs of Seychelles booties a few weeks ago, that clogs are my thing. I always gravitate to them, they work with everything, and they are just my style; so far, I have one pair of very high heel Sportmax clogs that are nearly 7 years old, a pair of No. 6 suede high heel clogs, Danko mary jane style clogs, silver low heel Cape Clogs, and three pairs of Swedish Hasbeens.
And then, even though I tried very hard not to…I used a free overnight shipping promo at James Perse to pick up this hooded fleece cardigan. It was really an impulse buy, although I had been looking at it for a while, I never really considered buying it…until it just hit me. I bought it, and I couldn’t be happier. Right now, it’s my favorite piece; I want to wear it with everything. And since it doesn’t get very cold here, I use it as a “coat” and layer it over a long sleeve tee & cashmere sweater. It’s perfectly warm, and I just love the neckline that’s created by the hood. I really try to avoid buying hooded things lately, but I don’t think that this neckline could be achieved without the hood, so I’m happy to have it!

Tomorrow I have a couple more James Perse pieces coming from the Rue La La sample sale (get a $10 credit if you sign-up via my link!!), and a pair of wide leg Splendid french terry pants from Shop La Style using their 20% off cyber monday code. And now, aside from wanting a pair of lower-heeled brown clogs (to wear in the outfit below with the navy pants instead of the light clogs), I think I’m done shopping for myself for a while 🙂
What did you guys pick up during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday madness? anything?
The outfits look absolutely great! The James Perse piece really really works for you!
I got the Jamese Perse pieces from the Gilt sale and am still waiting (i think they wont arrive for awhile), then got the Portlano garnet red wool wrap (didnt have one in red and thought it would come in handy for the party season since most of my wardrobe is black) and gloves (the SA one ran out of my size as soon as they went on sale and my old one had a hole so got a new pair at good price), and knit shorts from Souchi (still waiting for it since it is being hand loomed in Seattle), this one was regular price but since it supports the designer I really love I thought it was ok. Now I better hide my credit card somewhere safe for some time . . . oohh and yes I did get the Inhabit sweater and dress thanks to your notice. oh boy, I am scared of the bill.
thanks nanashi 🙂
i actually received my james perse stuff from the rue la la sale just now, i haven’t tried them on yet, but i love them…hope they work!
and i can’t wait to hear about your souchi shorts – they sound wonderful!!
Your sweater looks beautiful and gives both of your outfits a chic and effortless look 🙂
Much love,

thank you so much glendy!! i’m so happy with it.
Your gray cardigan is beautiful!
I wasn’t planning to buy anything, but I couldn’t help going all out on a C&C California sale. I bought leggings, a turtleneck, a cardigan, and a nice blue shirt.
Afterward I looked at some James Perse and Inhabit, but I had no money left and wasn’t willing to rack up more credit card debt. I still have my Macbook Pro to pay off.
I am excited about the James Perse wishlist contest, but I am not sure I entered it right. All I had to do was sign in and make a wishlist, right? I never got a confirmation of my contest entry. Did anyone else try?
So cute on you! That dad is a keeper! lol
I got the James Perse deep v-neck tee for practically nothing at Rue La La with my coupon, and 2 Inhabit sweaters (that they practically PAID me to take off of their hands!!!). I got my JP tee yesterday, and still waiting on Inhabit. SO excited!
OF COURSE i tried the wishlist contest at james perse!!! but i don’t think you get any sort of confirmation – you just sign in and create your wishlist.
oooh this looks great! you should model your no.6 clogs more 😀
i’m a firm believer in wearing shoes you really want to wear. who wants to be suffering on their feet all day long?
