Is it summer yet? I don’t remember a year that winter seemed to last so long, or come and go as much as it has this year. I’m FREEZING right now! Granted, I’m sitting at the kitchen table, in a part of the house that only gets afternoon sun, and it was 45 degrees this morning outside. When I leave the house, I’ll be perfectly comfortable in what I’m wearing. Yes, this is what I’m wearing RIGHT NOW.
I have about a million things to smile about, but I have no idea what I seem to have been giggling about in these photos. Other than I was trying to get the sleeves rolled up on the shirt before the self-timer went off on the camera, and when I realized it was too late, I just had to grin & bear it 🙂 I do prefer the sleeves rolled up now actually; I like the length better, and it seems to help with their not sticking out as much.
And look, I have some hair out of place LOL. Such is life.
I’m so glad I never really tried the “professional photography” thing here. Yes, I did get some photos taken a few years ago, and they were good (most of them anyway, in one whole set I had resting bitch face…), but it was not “me.” I guess I like looking at pretty pictures as much as the next girl, but they just never hold my interest. And at the end of the day, all “those blogs” just seem the same to me, and are not interesting at all.
Another thing to smile about: that you continue to come here and look at my weird and sometimes not-very-good photos of my outfits. I am infinitely grateful that I get to do this every day.
What are you smiling about? 🙂
I think your smile and photos are why so many people read your blog. 🙂 I like your photos.
I’m smiling because I gave my client good news today at work – finally. Also, I’m going to see Infinity War tonight with friends. I’m not an enormous Marvel fan like some of them, but we all go to see the movies together as a group because it’s more fun that way.
yay for giving a client good news!! 🙂 and for going to the movies with friends.
i know nothing about infinity war, but i do watch all the marvel netflix series LOL
i did like the first season of jessica jones better than the last though. and i started watching legion recently and am surprised by how much i like it. it’s very innovative…
So glad you’re smiling! Your smiling face always makes me smile. I’m also smiling because it’s sunny and not raining here in Cleveland. I love the gray sweater.
Yeah, season 2 of Jessica Jones has been weird. It started off really well, but the middle episodes are 90% filler and boring with the last 10% of plot happening in the last five minutes of the episode.
I love Legion! It’s weird and challenging to think about and total eye candy, even if you don’t get everything the show is trying to say immediately. Every Wednesday my husband and I brace ourselves for the hour of WTF, haha.
The only reason I know about the Marvel movies is because there are some hardcore fans who made it a thing for our whole group of friends to go watch all the movies together. I do like them all and even though I’m not entirely familiar with the comics I can appreciate the movies for being really good action films.
I smile when I see your pictures because you look like a “real” person and you look happy. I am almost exactly you size, legs and all, but I am almost 40 years older. I have had a hard time all my life with “big calves and ankles.” So I don’t wear dresses or skinny jeans. I LOVE seeing someone as cute as you wearing some of the clothes I love and looking so stylish. Thanks for showing us another way of dressing that is both comfortable and so appealing. You definitely project a happy, positive outlook, and we are fellow Texans. I live up the road in Belton. Thank you.
oh, thank you vivian!! i really appreciate your comment 🙂
i’ve never been to belton, although i have very close friends with family there. have passed through often, on the way to austin though!
My not so secret dream is to be a model or a fashion photographer so I like to take nice photos if at all possible, but I agree that if they’re *too* posed they just feel like stock photos. My bigger peeve is poor, unoriginal copy, though. I like pretty photos and really good, personal writing.
I don’t like when blogs outsource their photography; it feels so much more personal and “real” when everything is done in-house. Life is messy, and I don’t think we should pretend that it’s not!
I’m smiling because we’re headed to Saint Augustine tomorrow; I’m looking forward to padding around downtown and then heading to the beach!
oh! have fun. i haven’t been to saint augustine since i was a kid…
I’m smiling about he Fashion Revolution Week, which seems growing it’s scale and importance with every year and it’s great to see growing number of blogs like Grechen’s Closet promoting slow fashion, eco-friendly fabrics and ethical way of mayking clothes.
