I’m getting my color done today, so pardon my hair. It’s a disaster and I just had to pull it up today, but now looking at this picture confirms that I definitely need SOMETHING framing my face; long bangs, whatever, I do NOT like it all pulled back. But anyway…
The pants. Of course the James Perse crepe surplus pants are perfect. Well, kind of. They would be perfect if my calves weren’t so freaking huge. They’re still great, but I would have gone with a size 2 if not for my calves (the legs are cut rather slim) and been fine with them. The size 3 gets very slouchy with wear, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I did want them to be just a little less slouchy, and more “fitted.” They’re a dream to wear, good for today’s weather which is going to be about 60 and sunny – not good for 30’s or below. Of course, they’re a bit longer on me than the model(s), so the legs slouch down over the elastic hem (which I do love). And you better believe I’m going to be wearing them with my Nikes, a la the James Perse model…
Obviously, I completely and totally recommend these pants, I love them more than my Splendid athletic pants; they have a bit more character. If you have “normal” sized calves, then take your normal size in these, or you might even go down a size – the viscose definitely stretches with wear.
Now, let’s do another reader favorites post, shall we? Leave links if you can!! And I’m only asking for your email address in case I need to contact you this time ONLY – I won’t add it to an email list or share it with ANYONE. I promise.
Another great outfit! And those ankle boots look super. Now we can’t stop you from wearing them! π
I wanted to order those JP crepe pants during the Nordstrom sale but by the time I paid for shipping, duty, and taxes (to Canada), it was just over my budget. So glad they work for you.
Hey! I love this look! Especially that layered tee peeking out.
I agree! You look totally adorable! In the chic adorable kind of way. And now I really, really want a pair of those pants. Or the ones by Spendid. I think they look GREAT with the booties! (Please tell me you did NOT wear this cute outfit to pack!! π )
ha! you’re right…i just needed to WEAR the boots more to get used to the idea of WEARING them π
hi lisa! thank you !!!
no! i didn’t wear this to pack – i went to get my hair “done” and do a little running around. they’re great running around pants. i just wish they didn’t stretch out so much…going to try washing them today and see what happens.
Ha ha! I might actually LIKE the idea of stretch at this point in my life! Can’t wait to see the hair π
