Kurt Geiger clogs (above) | secondhand via Moss Designer Consignment
No, I haven’t worn any other shoes BUT the Birks since I got them. And I don’t see anything wrong with that. But I do keep pulling out these Kurt Geiger clogs trying to convince myself that I DO NOT NEED this VERY similar No6 version. I don’t, right?
While I generally think the birks should be enjoyed with pants only in my case, I did want to try them out with a short skirt/dress. I don’t mind the look at all, actually, and I think I like it better than the clogs:
Anyway, I have thoroughly and completely drunk the Birkenstock Arizona kool-aid. Thanks James Perse for the AWESOME styling suggestions 😉 And I tried on a pair of Nike air max 90 sneakers I found on sale at Macy’s, so I’m now firmly on my way towards a pair of those as well. They’re comfortable and fit well, but I’m not totally in love with them on me. But then again, they are (a lot) cheaper than the Flyknit lunar sneakers I really want….so I might get them anyway. Ah. the things we do for a deal 😉
(I put my hot-pink nike’s up on ebay if you’re interested – I love them, I just needed an 8.5)

I love Birkenstock. My last pair of Birkenstock lasted 5 years and I wore them everyday as indoor shoes:)
I just found your blog by the way. I think I will browse now and then:)
Hey! I was on Refinery 29’s website a few minutes ago and there is a slideshow all about the Birkenstocks. Have you seen it yet?
I have to admit I’ve never been big on Birkenstocks but then I saw a pink pair and said maybe, lol.

haha! the pink ones would be perfect for you 🙂
just saw the slideshow. love the styling.
The first time I wore my new Gizeh’s out in public, I got a nasty blister between my toes where the “post” is. Ouch. I think I’ve worn a callus there now, so I’m safe to try them again. Not sure how I feel about the tan Birkies over the Kurt Geiger’s…hmm…but at least you’re venturing out of the safety zone!
