I can actually only wear this outfit this morning, because by early afternoon, it’ll be too hot for the sweater, but I’ve been dying to wear it since I received it right before my trip to Italy, so I quickly yanked it out! This VKOO sweater is actually fairly lightweight, so it’s appropriate in milder weather, and such a great style. The only thing that would be more perfect is if I could wear my VKOO loop scarf with it…
And speaking of VKOO, I’ll be announcing a giveaway starting next Monday with them. YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Here’s also a picture of my “Italian” boots. They are INSANELY comfortable; so soft. I wish I’d bought (or had Leo buy me) a second pair, because I know I will live in them. I did get another pair of ankle boots from Massimo Dutti, but I need to get them stretched a bit, they fit wonderfully length-wise, but are a little snug on my foot. Has anyone done this? I mean, without actually wearing them to stretch them out?
*although we thought these were Italian leather boots, they’re by Felmini, a Portuguese company. And available at dsw.com 😉 although only in a size 6 and not in black.
so I just want to say I have been so curious about your “italian” boots. Now that I have seen them, I love them more! They look so much like Fiorentini and Baker…are they??? I can speak loudly to the comfort of F&B but the price leaves me simply yearning for a pair. Are said brand of Italian boots sold here????
Fingers crossed.
they are not fiorentini & baker, but they are nearly IDENTICAL – i was at barney’s co-op today and they had the F&B pair that looked almost the same as mine. my leather is a bit thinner and more “flimsy” and the buckle is not as substantial, but otherwise, the look is the same. i’m going to do some research on the brand and see if i can find more information. i’m actually having a hard time even reading the name on the inside of the boots! i got them in some random store on via del corso…will post when i find out something!!
In Spain we take them to the cobbler who put them on a shoetree for a couple of days et voila…they are stretched out. I have a pair of booties from Massimo Dutti, they were a little snug at the beginning but the leather is really soft and now the have my feet form : )
lunaday´s last blog post ..Alexander Wang
thanks!!! i wore them a little around the house today and i can wear them, but they are still snug. perhaps i’ll just wear them to stretch them out, i know they will…and they’re not uncomfortable..
there were a couple more pairs of booties that i liked there, kind of wish i’d been able to get them 🙂
love them as well! wish they were available here in the states!
lookie lookie!!! http://www.dsw.com/shoe/felmini+buckle+bootie?prodId=232221&brand=dsw12brand13200004&isBrand=y&categoryName=Women's%20Shoes
very interesting…obviously i thought they were italian, but the company is Portuguese.
still, they’re so comfortable. now i know where to get another pair 🙂
Such a great outfit on you!! Young, fresh and adorable. I LOVE the boots–I just bought myself a pair of Frye engineer 8R boots in “Gaucho” to go with all of my jeans, hippie skirts, etc. And they’re very comfy and will last a lifetime! I almost always have to stretch shoes a little bit. I buy “shoe stretch spray” which goes on the inside of the shoe, and then you put them on and wear them around the house. It always works!!
love those boots!! now that my ankles/calves are a little smaller, i’m looking forward to wearing more boots. they’re still not small enough for tall boots, but i think i’m too short for tall boots anyway…
checked in store and online but alas only a sz 6 in either color to be had anywhere! : (
