I caved. Actually I caved because I was SO DISAPPOINTED the Indah dress I ordered from Shopbop last week (remember, the one I posted about a while ago that immediately sold out? It was on my “hearts” list at Shopbop that I check EVERY day and when it came back up for sale again, I snapped it up FAST!!) is way too long, and because of the crochet trim at the bottom, it can’t be hemmed and still keep it’s look. I sent it back, but needed some retail therapy (and a new dress) to compensate, so I went to get the Gap dress I posted about last week.
Here I am in front of an old building in Gruene, TX (pronounced Green) on a little trip my dad and I took while he was here last week. The day was absolutely beautiful, but after looking at this photo, and the one below my dad took of me on Tuesday last week in front of the Hotel San Jose on S. Congress Ave. here in Austin (the coolest hotel ever), I realize I need a new pair of sunglasses. The ones I’m wearing are VERY VERY old Ralph Lauren sunglasses and the shape is a little outdated IMO. The problem is, I cannot bring myself to spend much money on sunglasses. I don’t lose them, I just don’t necessarily think they’re worth it. Although I would DIE for a pair of Tom Ford Jennifer sunglasses…
(in this picture, I’m wearing my CP Shades linen dress, over a James Perse long sleeve tee, with No6 clogs, and I’m carrying my Jas M.B. bag)
I do have a cool aviator pair I got an anthropologie, but I don’t wear them when I’m out like this because I can’t slide them back on my head with out getting my hair all caught in the nose pads. Ugh.
Anyway, I love the denim dress, and will wear it next time with a wider belt, I think that works better on me. I noticed with this skinny belt, the fit in the back is kind of off. I’m wearing it with my Swedish Hasbeens clogs and carrying my Alexander Wang Diego bucket bag 🙂
Yay! You got the denim dress!!! It accentuates your tiny waist, of which I am completely envious…lol. I think you could easily do a different belt with it and it would just “up” the look a little. Great styling idea!
