Today we met a colleague of Leo’s for coffee in the morning – in a very non-touristy part of Rome, which was very nice. It was a newer par of the city, near a beautiful, quiet park.
Then we took the train back to Circo Massimo to see that and walk through the Roman Forum. So amazing. But I definitely think by now I know exactly what NOT to bring for a trip to Rome: clogs. Even though these are my lowest heel it took so much effort to walk on cobblestones, gravel and rock that my legs started to give out after 4 hours. Yesterday I made it through 5 hours of walking in my moccs.
Ideally I’d have a pair of flat boots; that seems to be what everyone’s wearing who’s not wearing tennis shoes. (I don’t wear tennis shoes)
The weather is perfect for dresses and skirts with leggings and boots. Maybe I’ll find a pair here…
Shopping in Rome sounds like fun! Do you see independent boutiques or are there chains? I love that Madewell jacket and jeans. And who are your snazz sunglasses by? Cute! (take care of those feet!!)
Love that jacket! With or without boots, you still look chic.
