Everlane linen top (6)
Rachel Comey slim legion jeans (size 8) | up to 25% off at Shopbop with code EOTS17
Robert Clergerie sneakers (38.5) | also up to 25% off at Shopbop…Highly recommend!!
I am feeling a bit more like me today. A couple things helped…I painted my nails (a very neutral color, but still…I tend to feel more “put together” with my nails done), and I am letting go of trying to get furniture for day 1 or 2 we’re in the new place. That was stressing me out. I’m going to get settled in and then I’ll have a better idea of how I want to fill the space. And I’ll have time to look for things I REALLY want. Within our price range, of course. If I could, I would design my whole living area around this. But not now haha…
A note on the outfit: It’s a very “me” outfit.
This Everlane top is probably my favorite Everlane purchase; it’s just good. Everlane isn’t always so good…
And I know I talk a lot about how these Rachel Comey jeans are sort of challenging to sit in, but I’m sitting in them right now, and they’re comfortable. I feel “held in,” but not constricted. And I just ate yogurt with peanut butter and raspberries, so I’m pretty full LOL. I love these jeans and highly recommend them – especially if you can get them for 25% off right now. I’m wearing a size 8 and they fit me well everywhere. Again, held in, but not overly tight. The size 10 would have gaped in the waist and been wider at the hips.
The shoes too… I know, I know, they’re insanely splurgy, but I wanted a pair of sneakers that I knew would be comfortable, AND interesting, so I knew i had to go with my boy Robert Clergerie (or Roland Mouret as it were). The brand has never failed me, 10 pairs later. As long as I find the right size, which can sometimes be challenging. I usually wear a 38.5 in Robert Clergerie and I am a size 8. These fit well, and have a little room for socks or an insole. LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Also, if you can get them for 25% off? Bonus. (FYI, Amazon is a good place to search for Robert Clergerie shoes – many on sale – because it aggregates from Zappos, 6pm and Shopbop)
How is your week? Anybody find anything for fall at Shopbop on sale?
Happy Wednesday!!!
I would call this outfit “Dagny approved” from the look on his face! 🙂
I’m definitely in favor of you waiting until you move in before buying furniture. You’ll have a better sense of what is really needed.
I feel like I spent the summer looking for a long sleeved linen top and never found it. Yours looks perfect. However summer is (mostly) over and I’m sending all my money to ES. 🙂
So, haircut but no color yet? Looks like your hair is closer to jaw length? I’ve been growing out for a year now, and it’s at a length where it’s getting tangled when I dry (I got a new higher power dryer a few months back – takes less time, but makes more of a “mess”) Probably going to cut at next appt, mid-Oct. But waiting to see what Tea Leoni’s hair looks like in the new season of Madam Secretary – I’ve been emulating her style the past couple years so I figure I’ll just check 😉
This Friday is cut/color. Today I washed it and it always looks longer and brighter after I wash it lol
Haha! Yes she just ran in as I was snapping the picture! So funny…
Everlane has been so frustrating lately, but they did well with this shirt. I’d love it in black…
I got so anxious about furniture because my mom is coming the week after we move, then my sister the week after. Then we go to Denver and then my dad, stepson and stepmom come for thanksgiving!! Definitely we need to have everything together by thanksgiving. Haha.
Remember that family love being with you, and don’t really care about furniture. You can use a patio table or rent chairs from a rental store, get an air mattress – it doesn’t matter 😉 Just enjoy spending time together!!!
If I could heart eye emoji this I would!
I love this entire outfit 🙂 Seriously considering the Everlane shirt. I like how it is a bit more loose fitting and a relaxed texture. Fitted pressed button downs don’t work for me. Yes, not everything from Everlane is good for me either, I don’t have the shape I feel they design for. And the shoes! I was prepared before I clicked on the link to see a too flat sole (which means I couldn’t wear it without pain). There is at least a 1 inch incline so is much better for the arch health, so is a possibility. I don’t have the Comey jeans but I have a similar style by Pilcro (Anthropologie’s private label brand). It is highwaisted with a flare at the bottom. I call them my magic jeans because they are the most comfy pair of pants I own (and I have a potbelly right now) but also don’t stretch out and get baggy. Oh and they are petite length too.
Those jeans look much better on you than their marketing, I would not have looked twice.
They owe you double points.
Happy Thursday
thank you!
you know, i haven’t even looked at clothes at anthropologie in FOREVER. it used to be one of my favorite stores for clothes (when they carried splendid, etc.) and i would buy jeans there sometimes, but it’s been 10 years i guess…those jeans sound great!
oh, thank you jillian 🙂
Most of the clothes have too much detail for me. Or the fabric doesn’t drape well on me. Used to love them when I was younger and girlier but used to order online as we didn’t have Anthro in Honolulu until quite recently. I wandered in there one night at the mall while waiting for my takeout and noticed they have petite jeans with wide or flare legs or the uneven raw hem. Now I have three pairs! Two Citizens and one of their own brand that I spoke about. I have to mention however that one of my fav jeans is still the 6397 BFs I bought from you on Slowre earlier this year.
