It’s so beautiful here today; the perfect way to start February!
In case you didn’t see it yet, I did a “review” of my Jerome Dreyfuss Billy bag today, with more pictures and giving a better idea of what to expect from it. Please let me know if you have questions about it – or if you’re on the fence about getting it; I’ll be happy to give my $.02.
I got this James Perse skirt this week at LastCall, after I went Tuesday and tried stuff on, I didn’t buy anything because I was waiting for a bigger discount. And then on Wednesday I got a coupon in my email…(That seems to always happen at LastCall, which is why I usually don’t even go until I have a coupon…) so I went back to get it. I highly, highly, highly recommend it. It’s so soft, and the fit is super-flattering – typical JP skirt, fitted at the top and flared out towards the bottom. I took a size 3 and originally thought I would have to hem it, but instead I just washed and dried it, so it shrunk enough in length for me to be able to wear it comfortably with flats. If you’re taller than me, you may NOT want to dry this skirt…
Happy weekend everyone!!
How do you like the Vince shoes? They look super comfy. Do you wear them with ankle jeans?
LOVE the vince shoes…i did size down 1/2 size as the vince website suggested, and i’m glad i did. they took about an hour or so of wearing around the house to break in and stretch the leather, but after that, they’re perfect. they’re incredibly comfortable; i’ve hardly taken them off since i got them! and yes, i wear them with ankle jeans.
I love when you post skirt outfits. They always inspire me and they look great. Too bad I live in Michigan where its 20 degrees right now. May have to wait a bit before wearing mine 🙂
How tall are you? I know you’ve probably mentioned it before but I’ve forgotten. I’m only 5’2″ so I generally have to hem everything!
I’m 5’3″ or 5’4″ – somewhere around there. I have to hem most things, but I hate it! Especially skirts or dresses since it seems to change the hem/bottom…since i dried it, this skirt touches the ground, but not enough I’m stepping on it or its dragging
Love the outfit, esp. the navy paired with black. I’ve had my eye on that skirt by JP, but it’s a toss-up between that one or the one that’s similar by Splendid. Do you have an opinion on that? (Am I crazy? Of course, you have an opinion on that!!! 😉
the skirts are completely different – the splendid skirt is more straight, and the JP skirt is much more fitted, then flared out at the bottom. i’d recommend both 😉
but honestly, i like the JP skirt better. the splendid skirt is great, and easy, and i love it, but if i had to choose…also since the splendid skirt has a fold-down waist, it’s a little more fussy – i have to re-adjust it whenever i get up from sitting a while.
Great points. I think the fabric for the JP looks a little more “substantial” than the Splendid, and I could use a little more structure to my fabric. I do not like fussy. You’ve made up my mind for me! I think the flare at the bottom is VERY flattering, too. Thx, Ms. G!!
