Or is it? I’ve always considered Grechen’s Closet to be a fashion/shopping blog/site, but clearly with the rise of a million and one other fashion blogs, I’ve come to the conclusion, in relative terms anyway, that this is not a fashion blog. I enjoy fashion, I enjoy looking at pretty frocks and editorial spreads, but it’s the shopping and wearing that moves me, not the dreaming & fantasy of fashion (I’ve always been a realist). I appreciate the drama surrounding fashion and fashion-lovers, but as you can tell by my outfits, I’m a pretty no-nonsense girl – about as far from dramatic as you can get. I guess I aspire to more of an effortless chic personally, something that doesn’t really “fit-in” with other fashion bloggers who post personal style pictures – they’re more about the drama and playfulness & fun of fashion. Which I love, by the way, but can’t do myself.
Anyway, that’s really of no consequence, just something I’ve been thinking about lately.

I’m not a size 0 and don’t aspire to be, love fashion magazines but, like you, am a realist, never wear 5″ heels and don’t care to, BUT I love fashion and continue to evolve my own style. I think that honesty in YOU is what draws me to your blog. Keep up the good work!
