Following on yesterday’s post on the power of a white tee, here’s another one for you, this time the v-neck by Everlane. I’ve been very happy with this tee since I got it; you can’t beat the price ($15), and it’s made in the US. I’m wearing it with this Madewell denim wrap skirt Sharon gave me last year for my birthday, that I was trying to decide wether or not to get rid of. I can say now that I’m pretty sure I’m keeping it. I’ve always felt that it’s a bit big on me, and wide, but I love this outfit, and definitely think the shoes make a difference (the higher, the better). I’ve already had it hemmed once, but a little more off couldn’t hurt, no? What do you think?
And speaking of white tees, I’ve had my eye on some from Pickwick & Weller to try. I probably won’t get white though – I’m really interested in this Hannah fit in charcoal and the nouvel cashmere/modal blend tee. If you follow my referral link, you’ll get $15 off your first order of $50 or more. I’m going to be placing my first order in the next couple of days, so hopefully I’ll have something to review next week!
Have you guys tried Pickwick & Weller yet? What did you think?
I’m interested to hear what you think about the Pickwick & Weller tees…they actually have a home try-on service which looks intriguing.
the at-home try on is interesting, but you have to do a style assessment first, and i hate those things! they never get it right…you can’t choose what you want to try on yourself, you take what they send you…
I am also interested in the fit of Pickwick & Weller tees. How do they compare to James Perse or JCrew tees?
i haven’t tried them yet! hopefully next week i’ll have something to review…
I did the “Try at home” thing with Pickwick and Weller and I loved it! I ended up loving all 3 tees that I got and kept them all, plus, one was free! If I remember correctly, you’re able to put in your specs for the kind of tees you want, i.e. short sleeves, size, boyfriend or slimfit, etc. (I’m pleased. I think they hit the nail right on the head for me). I’ve gone on to purchase more since I was so happy with my original tees.
In my experience, they run a tad on the large side (which I like). The fabrics are different depending on which tee you get. I purchased some that are tissue thin, and I’ve washed them and dried them in the dryer (by mistake) with no problems. The other ones I got are more substantial cotton and I really love those.
