It’s been a while since we had a Dagny cameo hasn’t it? Every single time she sits she has one ear up and one down. And she’s been exceptionally sweet and cute lately since she’s back on a “regular” cbd oil dosage. But extra demanding as well. She needs a friend, and I think we’ll start looking at local shelters when we return from Thanksgiving break next week. Adding a second dog makes me so nervous though…how will she react, will she hate the new dog, will she be mad at us for bringing her a sister…haha.
I also want to reiterate my love for the clyde trench. It’s really useful and I’m wearing it a lot more than I thought I would honestly. Yesterday I worked at home and left to run to the post office and grocery store, and I just put my essentials (wallet, key, lip balm, extra shopping bag, phone) in the pockets and went out the door. I couldn’t do that if I was going to be gone all day running errands or whatever, but I really appreciate being able to do it when I have quick jaunts out of the house.
The cotton canvas is also fairly warm when layered over a sweater. And I don’t find it too stiff at all. Sure, it’s not a soft/cozy cardigan, but it’s not so structured it doesn’t move and become a seamless, comfortable part of your outfit. Such a win IMO.
Also, I am a huge fan of these Mother jeans. I sent the other ones I tried back and decided to try these instead because they have a slightly lower rise, and are 100% cotton. I’m wearing them every day because they need to be stretched a bit; they’re getting more and more comfortable every day.
Did I “need” a new pair of jeans? No, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE denim, and really appreciate having several styles to choose from, and these fill my desire for a basic pair of straight leg jeans with no distressing.
See you tomorrow 🙂
h/t to mamavalveeta for the “thoseears” hashtag she gave to Dagny on Instagram!
She is so stinking cute! If I may offer some unsolicited advice, I used to work for Operation Kindness in Dallas and did 100’s of pet adoptions. The real key to a good match is letting Dagney decide. Of course it is up to you and an adoption counselor to find options, but it is best to trust her instinct on who will make for the best addition to your family. Check shelters, and also breed specific rescues are good as well because they foster pets in their homes and have a good idea about an individual animals quirks. Be clear about how your pup behaves and what her needs are as some shelters wills let you know when a new animal comes in that might fit your needs. Good luck and from one animal lover to another, thank you for looking to adopt a pup in need.
operation kindness is going to be our first stop!!
yes, i want to spend time finding the right match for her. no need to cause additional stress if we can help it…
Such a cutie! I miss having a pup around (used to have a black GSD, he was my running partner).
The Clyde Trench is so good. I have the Harper in Clay and love it but the Clyde looks great on everyone, it is making me question my choice or considering adding another piece.
Lol! I’m glad the hashtag stuck – She is just the cutest thing! I’m such a “researcher” on google before I make a decision, so I wonder if there’s a site that has info on types of dogs that integrate best, make good companions, etc. I know nothing about dogs, but I have a feeling that Our Cat would do ok with another kitten, just no adult cats. But my furniture has suffered enough at this point!
It’s great hearing your thoughts on the Clyde trench. I love ES clothing and am interested in some version of the Clyde or the Harper. It would be a big spend for me (I wrote investment then removed it as I don’t want to think of investing in clothes even if I think I would wear them a long time, who ever really knows aside from good intentions) and I have never seen or felt any of her clothes in real life. I think I could resell ok if I needed to as I’m sure ES has a following in New Zealand as well. Thanks for sharing your ongoing thoughts. And yes, Dagne is so cute. I loved the tips from Debi about getting a good doggy match.
