This is the best I could do today. I tried. But I feel like shit. I’ve been nauseous for days and I’m over it. I also maybe feel a little cold or something coming on?
Anyway, I did record an instagram story (on instagram, duh LOL) as part of my collaboration with Eileen Fisher for their Making Space campaign this holiday season. 1. I’m so awkward in video, but 2. I really love watching other people’s stories, so I should participate too, in a small way, no? and 3. sometimes it’s easier than writing things down, although if you listen to me, and hear how weird some of my sentences are, you might think otherwise…haha…
As part of my collaboration, Eileen Fisher sent me up to $500 worth of product from their Gift Guide section of items. One of the pieces I chose was this organic cotton “fluff” boyfriend cardigan (ON SALE NOW). It just arrived today, so I switched out the sweater I was wearing with these Han Starnes pants (sold out) and Eileen Fisher silk system tank and put this on instead.
It is indeed fluffy, and warm enough, although not as warm as wool or alpaca. But since I decided not to add any new wool/cashmere to my wardrobe for now, I chose organic cotton instead.
Anyway, this is not the official sponsored post I’m supposed to write as part of my collaboration; I’ll be sure to note it as sponsored when I do it. Believe me, you’ll know!! This is just a quick look at what I’m really wearing today. It was supposed to be something else, and I was actually writing about something else entirely, but I started to feel horrible and didn’t have it in me anymore.
Interesting that about a year ago I broke my jaw and also wasn’t feeling so great. I wonder if I’m just commiserating with my past self today?
Aw, Grechen, I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well. Nausea and malaise are the worst, but hopefully they will pass soon. Just take it easy on yourself and rest and drink lots of herbal tea. Stay at home and be cozy. Curl up with Dagney. 🙂
I think the natural colors and textures of the clothes you have on today are totally yummy and beautiful, especially offset by the pop of that gorgeous nail color. If I may ask, what brand/color is the nail polish you have on? So pretty.
I hope you feel better soon. xoxo
Thank you Holly! I felt better off and on during the day.
My nail polish is Chanel 528 – ROUGE PUISSANT – it was a total impulse buy!! I don’t normally wear red red, but I’m really glad I tried it.
ooooh, thanks! Such a great red. I’m glad you’re feeling better off and on.
Winter can be the pits- I have felt awful on and off for the past week or so, too. I blame forced air. I miss radiant heat so desperately. ARGH. I’m sorry you aren’t feeling well, but I LOVED your story. I just saw someone I admire and check in with almost daily in action! What fun. Does that make me weird? I like context. I like knowing what your voice sounds like. How you really do just…light up when you smile. Also, your sentences sounded totally normal I mean…. Be nice to you- especially when you aren’t feeling great.
Anyway, I thought it was a treat and that outfit looks SO comfy and flattering, too!
Did I mention that you should be nice to you? Also, I have to say it. If you don’t enjoy what some folks find relaxing, don’t do it. I need my sewing machine fired up, something on the stove, I’m usually texting with multiple people and listening to a podcast and THEN I feel relaxed on my days off. You do you. I’m single and if I get through Saturday not uttering a single word to anyone but Alexa, I’m thrilled.
(And everyone out there hiking and skiing and crabbing and kayaking…I love your pics, I’ll be tackling hair canvas interfacing today while I learn to make myself a blazer- xoxo!)
