Do you ever do something that’s a bit out of your comfort zone and then keep doing more stuff out of your comfort zone? Isn’t it funny how life works?
Earlier this week I painted my nails bright coral (out of my normal “neutral” comfort zone), then yesterday I had a meeting with a life coach/qi gong practitioner (also a little out of the norm for me), and today, I’m wearing an orange tee. What’s happening to me?? (I was also pretty nervous/apprehensive about this skirt when I got it, but Sharon convinced me it was AMAZING, and now it’s one of my favorites)
I love how doing something a little different, maybe something that makes you a little nervous, can really transform your outlook. Who knew it would all start with coral nails? π
What happens when you go out of your comfort zone?
Happy Friday, and I hope you all have an amazing weekend!!
Awesome you look great in orange! I’m glad you are starting qigong because it just works!
You look great! That color is wonderful on you!
Sheesh, apparently I need to get out of my comfort zone, you look amazing! Interesting meeting w/the life coach? I’m intrigued!
thanks π
yes, great meeting. we need to get together!
thank you! i’m looking forward to learning more about it. i’m so intrigued…
WOW! You should do something out of the ordinary more often. This is a fantastic outfit and it shows on your face and in your whole manner of standing (of course, this could be the 10th picture….;-)
I love it!! Orange is your color!! I like to think of Eleanor Roosevelt’s words: “Do one thing everyday that scares you.β Good advice. I can’t say that I always take it, but when I do, I’m never disappointed. I just cut my hair shorter because I didn’t like the way it looked in a picture I saw of myself. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing, but I’m glad I did it. I guess I’m a pretty spontaneous person.
Totally. You look really good in that color.
And my stepping out started with a teal and purple scarf my brother gave me. Wound up with purple tweed jackets and purple cashmere sweaters. Even purple eyeshadow. I’m not looking back:).
i actually have just started wearing purple eyeshadow, it’s more of a very deep dark purple than PURPLE, but it’s very nice!
who knows, maybe i’ll start wearing more color; i always get so many compliments when i do.
i used to have that quote on a magnet. i don’t think i really ever made an effort to follow it, but i definitely think it’s a way to expand and grow, even if it’s something very small.
and yay on cutting your hair shorter π
Thanks!
