wearing: Anthropologie skirt | James Perse tee | Candace Ang necklace | Rag & Bone sandals | J.W. Hulme Legacy Bag
Last night I spent HOURS in my closet sorting through stuff so all that’s left are pieces I love and are easy to “reach for.” This pink skirt hovered on the edge between the get rid of pile and the keep pile for so long I told myself I had to wear it today, which would help me decide whether or not to keep it. I do love it…it’s just not “me” – which is something I’ve said many times before about many other things (mostly things that are not white, gray or black). But really, it IS me. It’s fun, flowy, and pretty, but can also be interesting, edgy and minimal. I tried to casual-ize it today by wearing it with a crew-neck tee and my hair in a ponytail. Did it work? I don’t know, but I think I’ll keep it 🙂
And you may notice I’m wearing my Rag & Bone sandals. I decided on a whim to try some ball of the foot inserts in them, and so far, just from wearing them around the house, they seem to be helping. I’ll let you know how they did after a day of being out – cross your fingers I don’t fall!!
closet cleaning is good for the soul! I’m in phase 2 as well 🙂 Glad you’re keeping the pink skirt for now!
Aww, how could you not love a hot pink skirt!!! I was looking on Shopbop this morning and saw a hot pink pleated maxi skirt from Tibi that I so want to buy. If you decide to purge this beauty, I’ll take it and wear it all the time. 🙂

The skirt looks great on you, I think if you’ve purged others you can keep this one for a bit longer and see if you reach out for it again. The drape is flattering and the color pops and brightens the entire look. a tank top would be flattering, too. The crewneck for the tee clashes with the necklace so I think you should go with a deeper u-neck tee with cap sleeves so it’d show off and lengthen your arms and also showcase your necklace. Nice pics!

I absolutely love that pink skirt on you…and I’d get it myself if I didn’t need a long, looser black one (like your Madewell skirt). It’s casual, but maybe slightly dressier looking than black or dark charcoal. I like Nanashi’s idea of the scoop/u-neck tee to showcase the jewelry. You’ve got some GREAT pieces!!!
You look great! I know we all tend to be more confident in neutral (black for me) but the pink is a big hit!! I especially love your tee-shirt :). Have a great Memorial Day weekend, perhaps we’ll see you at the James Perse Sample Sale @ San Marcos? I know you love some extra 50% off!! I’ll keep a beer cold for ya!
Lovely skirt. Keep practicing in them heels! You won’t fall!
