Ugh, my hair is a disaster!! I’m thinking of growing it out a bit, but it definitely needs a trim…
What I’m Wearing:
James Jeans (4 years old, I have no idea what the style/wash is)
Tory Burch Reva pink patent flats (not the color in the link, mine are from last season, they’re hot pink)
Tory Burch Cardigan
James Perse Casual tee – 20% off at Tobi with code 20GRECHEN
Love Shop scarf – use code “grechen20” for 20% off orders over $100 at The Trend Boutique
Alexander Wang Donna Hobo Bag

I like it a lot. You carry the hobo well; I always feel sloppy with hobos. My only critique is that the scarf appears to be consuming you whole. I’d substitute a smaller one, or at least not tie it around your neck like that.
I hate to admit it, but I’m jealous of your Tory Burch flats. Damn it, I’ve been sucked in to the cult of Tory Burch.
it took me a while to go over to the “dark/tory burch” side, but once i did, i was converted. i’d love to have another pair…
i tend to agree about the scarf – i’m really not sure how to wear it, but i do think it works better with an outfit where i’m not wearing flats.
I love your bag, Gretchen!! It is fantastic. I am also a tory burch reva convert. It’s interesting how these shoes inspire such strong opinions (from both sides of the fence) but they really are super comfy. I have four pairs now, embarrassingly enough! Among them is the same bright pink patent pair you have, and truth be told, I bought them after I saw you wearing them in ootds from last year. š

I agree about the scarf as well…but then I’ve never been able to feel comfortable with fashion scarves. I only wear them for warmth. Love the colorful shoes!
So now my bag lady friend (I mean that in the nicest way!) I need your big bag advice on some trendy new ones that I’m considering. I never spend a lot on them because trends come and go, so this is not an investment piece or anything. Check this out … http://www.accessorybug.com/catalog/black-robertina-fringe-faux-leather-tote-p-2943.html I’m worried I will look too hippie-chich with it, but something about the fringe is really growing on me. Then there is also this one …http://www.accessorybug.com/catalog/blue-aida-faux-leather-hobo-p-2977.html I love the color! Any advice or opinions for me? I can only get one. š
š at first, i didn’t like the idea of wearing a logo (on the revas), but i’m over that…it’s more of an embellishment than a logo, and on the patent, it’s really not that noticeable. i’d love to have a couple of other pairs – i don’t think the reva is going anywhere anytime soon!!
Cute look and I love the bag! To balance things up a little I think wrapping the scarf around your neck at higher point instead of letting it drape straight down would look nice, it brings the point of attention higher up to your face. Rolling up the jeans to show off your ankle and your beautiful ballet flats would probably make the outfit more spring-like, too. Nice color combination!
that’s a great idea nanashi – i never would have thought about rolling up my already short jeans just a bit…i’ve done that with longer jeans, and i love the look…and i do agree about the scarf, i’ll try that! i can’t wait to work on outfits next week LOL
hey! you know, the fringe trend is kind of growing on me too, and that first bag is cute! the only way you’ll look “too” hippie-chick with that bag is if you’re wearing birkenstock sandals with a long peasant skirt and flowers in your hair…with a “normal” outfit, i think it will look cool.
the other bag is nice – i like the shape, but the color is too much for me. if you like the color though…
if you’re concerned about being able to carry the bag for a long time, i would go with the second one, the fringe is pretty trendy right now, and you might be tired of it quickly.
This is pretty much what I look like everyday. Of course I wear my SPUN v-neck tee and cardigan…but the rest is me all the way! Given that…I think you look fabulous! š
