She’s here!!!! I’ve been waiting for this bag forever it seems like and yesterday it finally arrived from Satine (I bartered for ad space for the bag). Honestly, I had heard a lot of mixed feelings about this bag, so I went back and forth over would I love it, would I hate it…and I love it. Yes, it’s heavy – I mean if you had studs all over your bottom you’d be too LOL, but it doesn’t seem that much heavier than my Rebecca Minkoff morning after bag – okay, maybe a little heavier. I was worried it’d be hard to get into. It’s not. All of my stuff fits well in there, and fills it up. There’s one zipper pocket inside for my phone and lipglosses AND there are two little hidden pockets on one of the ends. They’re tiny. BUT as I took her out today on her inaugural shopping trip (to Target) I discovered that one of the mini-pockets is PERFECT for my keys. I just stick them in there and pull the zipper up – so easy!! YAY for outside pockets for keys 🙂
Anyway, I was kind of on the fence about posting these outfit pictures because I kept thinking, what am I going to wear with her? how can I possibly find an outfit worth of the coco duffel LOL? I mean, all these models have recently been shot with their Coco’s looking fabulous, and here I am with a t-shirt & jeans…But this is me, this is my outfit, and I decided to post it here for you to see. No, you do not have to be a model to carry this bag, and you can even be OLD. (there’s a lot of discussion going on on a certain message board about how this bag is more appropriate for a woman in her 20’s than 30’s) I, of course, disagree with that COMPLETELY – you can carry whatever you want, whenever you want, at whatever age, just be happy doing it, that’s all anyone cares about – or should. I don’t know, I’m almost 37, can I pull it off???
I think it will go with anything, especially chic basics like you paired it with here. And the best part about the hardware is that if anyone pisses you off you can just swing your bag at them:)

LOVE it! and I think it’s perfect with jeans and a tee- congrats!!!
OMG!!!!!
Love the bag and love it with that outfit!
I fell in love with that bag a bit too late to get one. *sigh*
And that thread about that bag only being meant for women in their 20’s is BS, that bag is classic with a bit of rock n’ roll fit for anyone that can afford it. 🙂
LOL christina! i should bring it with me to walk the dog in the morning…there are some crazies around here…
thank you!! i love it too 🙂
have you seen the grey one for pre-order at satine? some are not liking the color too much, but i think IRL it would be a great color! and it has silver studs…
i do still like the black best though, i believe it’s a classic bag. and yeah, people who say that if you’re over 30 you can’t wear this or that really irk me anyway 😉
This bag is so cute! I adore the studs, so chic. Good to hear the comparison btwn this and the Rebecca Minkoff MOB. Love the black, but to add to your response to Rachel, I think grey would be fabulous as well.

thanks andrea! isn’t the grey lovely? it would be a great neutral color…
I love the grey, too. The color makes it seem slightly more delicate than the black. They are both fabulous 🙂 Yay for Coco- can’t wait for mine!!
Ohh, I’ll check it out, thanks! I do love the black though…great staying power.
I meant to add that I’m 33 to back up my statement,LOL.
cuuuuute! and re: all those discussions about *who* is the right age/height/whatever to wear this bag, whatever! as all stylish women know, it’s all about how you wear it that matters 🙂
speaking of handbag love, i’m still in the midst of my wardrobe editing and am parting with some lovely bags from my collection…the ko.des jetsetter being one of them! sigh…

WHAT?? you’re getting rid of the ko.des?? it’s so lovely…but i understand now that you have the dunlin.
i need to do some editing too. have you found laws of general economy to be a good place to sell?
i know i know…i feel reallllly sad :(…but yeah now that i have my dunlin i just can’t justify having TWO lovely large everyday carryalls.
re: laws of general economy, yeah i’ve sold a good number of new/almost new items from my wardrobe and i’ve had a really good experience so far! it’s quite refreshing once the ebay factor is out of the picture.

I laughed at this, too. Bag as weapon…not a bad idea for urban girls! Might just be a reason to buy this AW instead of one of RM’s studded bags, assuming you could ever find the Coco Duffel for sale anywhere.
Glad you go this bag, Grechen. It is going to become another favorite. I think I could guess which 3 bags would be in your closet, if you had to choose only 3 to keep! Even easier if you let me choose 5.
oh…yes, choose my 5 favorite bags!!! i need to get rid of LOTS 😉
Awesome. This is an investment bag you will keep forever. I have a studded bag from a few years back from Isabella Fiore and it is so on trend that everyone thinks it is brand new. You look great. Cute jeans, Current/Elliott?
thanks! i used to love those isabella fiore bags a few years ago…
the jeans are joe’s, but i’m dying for a pair of current/elliot – the long boyfriend style….
I totally agree with Rachel and Miss Sophie that “it’s all about how you wear it.” I’d wear it and I’m 49! Very cool snag there, Grechen. I think I’m going to swap some of my makeup artistry for goodies! Great idea!!
