wearing: Madewell skirt | James Perse top | Dannijo necklace | 3.1 Philip Lim bag | Kurt Geiger platforms (secondhand)
I was originally wearing my hair down, but that didn’t last very long…first, I just don’t like my hair right now very much, and second, it’s too hot. Lately, my default hairstyle has been up. And since I don’t know how to do a bun or anything interesting, it’s just in a high or a low ponytail; I don’t know how you guys with long beautiful hair can stand to wear it down during Summer! I’ve also been toying with going back to short hair (shoulder length). Do you guys remember when my hair was short??
Anyway, all I really care about right now is not roasting when I leave the house, which means the fewer clothes the better, and hair up high 🙂 And even though this skirt is long, it’s thin, so it’s not too hot. Although I do wish now I had more shorter dresses/skirts…maybe I shouldn’t have purged them so fast…
Grechen, get yourself some Goodie Spin Pins and make the whole bun thing possible!! I’m like you and default to a ponytail in the summer. I’ve been trying to experiment with other styles, but there’s not many other than braids.
I really need you and Cups emails to stop tempting me with that Philip Lim bag. I’m seriously crushing on that bag right now.
I loved your hair shoulder length, but I also love it long and I think it’s very youthful looking on you (but then again, you’re always youthful looking!). What don’t you like about it?
I couldn’t live in hot climate; Minnesota in the summer is hot and humid enough for me (heat index of 120degrees next week–when we’re moving, of course!).
i keep hearing about those spin pins, but they look so intimidating!! i’ll have to watch a video or something to learn how to use them.
i love this bag!! i hadn’t used it in a while but now that it’s hot, i need a bag i can carry by hand so it doesn’t touch me anywhere LOL – and this one holds a ton, way more than you’d think…it’s turned out to be a very practical bag. and also pretty. you should be able to find it on sale right now…although i haven’t seen the color i have anymore, just the black.
i just wish i hadn’t cut my hair at all i guess – i miss it even longer. this length is just strange to me, kind of in between? when i can afford it, i’d like to be able to do highlights or something else interesting with my color, i think that will help liven it up a bit. i just feel like it’s pretty dull. and boring. but i’m not sure i’m ready to go back to shoulder length yet, so i’ll keep growing it out…
