I had lunch today with some of my “fashion” friends here in ATX and afterwards I went to Anthropologie to browse. And try some things on 😉 I really wanted to try some of their new long dresses on, just to see if I could manage one. Now, I’m obsessed with this outfit (apologies for the sub-par dressing room picture):
Here’s what I’m wearing (click the images to go to the product pages):

I’d wear the dress with platform wedges (it’s very long), and I wish it had a v-neck instead of a wide neck, but overall, I loved the way it fit me. Yes, it’s fitted, and hugs my curves, but in a very tasteful way, and flattering, because of the cinched waist and dolman sleeve top. And I’ve been looking for a “classic” black blazer for a while now, but when I found this one in creme, I thought “why not” and tried it on. LOVE!!!!!!!! In spite of the fact that I would constantly be concerned about getting it dirty, it is SO beautiful, and fit well…
I didn’t buy either piece, but I want to. I do need to start thinking about outfits for the upcoming Texas Style Council Conference in March……
I really like the dress on you! Looks very flattering!
I love this look on you! It is really chic. I would definitely wishlist the items at anthro.com and hope for a sale before the Style Conference in March. Maybe it will go on sale?
jesspgh´s last blog post ..Floating Feathers OOTD
I love both pieces. You’ve GOT to get that jacket!!! It’s super on you with your coloring. Just think of all of the stuff you could wear with it. I love the dress, too, but not so much with the jacket.
looks awesome. anthropologie should take a cue from you, you make that dress look waaaaay better than the photo they have of it!
wow…thank you!
i’m definitely getting the jacket. it’s so unique, right? unexpected…but easy to wear i think.
I think you absolutely need that dress- it looks beautiful on you!
Oh, that looks GREAT! How tall are you? Love the dress, but at 5’5″ i’m always afraid maxi dresses won’t flatter my frame.
i’m 5’3″!!! i will definitely wear heels/platforms with this dress, i think it will work better…although i generally prefer flats with long skirts/dresses.
i think you should try it!
