Wool striped dress | $129
One shoulder zip dress | $149
Cashmere robe coat | $299
James Perse added quite a few things to the sale section yesterday. These three things seem like wonderful buys – especially the cashmere robe coat, if it’s something you would wear. I find James Perse cashmere to be quite warm, although this seems like a much lighter weight than the cashmere cardigan that I have (although it appears to be the same fabric).
How have your James Perse sale purchases worked out? Can you share any successes or failures?
Happy Monday!!
Grechen – this has nothing to do with James Perse – didn’t know where to post this – the Jamie and the Jones heavier weight t sweater is available for pre-order.
Any chance you have worn it or could do a call-out for reviews/sizing/care info from your readers?
I love everything James Perse. It’s so hot here right now though I cannot think about sweaters or cashmere!
Grechen, I love the High Guage Circular Shell Top SOOOOO much (got it in Carbon) that I am tempted to order it in White. If it’s not too sheer, I think this could be the perfect white T for me. Scrumptious fabric and great fit for me, but I sized down.
The WEIRD thing is that the magical “GRCHNSUMMER17” code no longer works for free shipping. So, $9.95 for shipping a single item is making me feel like this is no longer a good deal. ($79 vs. $89… I know it shouldn’t matter but it does!)
Susan, I just got an email today from JP and they’re offering this code for free shipping today only:
BAGBPLMKDJQLYGA
I ordered and received the shirred tube skirt and am very pleased. It’s lighter-weight and stretchier than I expected, which is good! I got a size 2, which is a size down from my two JP dresses but the same size as the T shirts I own. I’m planning to wear it tomorrow. 🙂
Hi Kris!
I have both the lighter weight original T-Sweater and the heavier one in black. My original is size M/L and my black heavier weight is an L. I am 5’4″, 36-29-39 and generally wear a size 6 or 28/29 in pants. I prefer to wear my tops slightly oversized so I wear an M or L in most tops. Now that that’s out of the way – I LOVE both T-Sweaters immensely!! They are easily my favorite pieces in my closet. Even though it’s in the thick of summer now, I will often find excuses to throw one on in the morning when it’s “sort of chilly” just because they are so cozy and I love wearing them. I find that they are generally easy to care for – machine wash cold, delicate cycle, hang dry. I usually throw mine in the dryer on air dry only for a few minutes after hang drying to soften them up a bit. The heavier weight fabric definitely drapes a bit flatter than the original, which I find to be a bit more “airy”. I have snagged them on sharp objects once or twice and find that the fabric is super easy to give a little tug from the inside and the stitch falls right back into place. The sizing information listed on Jamie + The Jones’ website is very accurate, and the customer service team is super quick about getting back to you about any sizing questions. You can also check out the hashtag #myjandjfit on Instagram to see other people’s real measurements and pictures wearing J+J. In short (lol) I personally can’t recommend them highly enough, and Hannah and Jamie are wonderful ladies to support! Hope that helps!
