I’m really not a big fan of gladiator sandals, especially not on me. I don’t have any ankles per-se, my foot ends where my thick calves begin – so I need a thong type sandal for the most flattering look. Anyway, they can look nice on others, but I generally prefer a simpler style over those with lots of buckles and straps.
This new sandal by Mogil at Pixie Market is my favorite gladiator-type sandal by far. The color is fabulous; you don’t see many gray sandals, the open criss-cross weave is unique, and I think more flattering than horizontal straps across the foot.
There’s also a heeled version of this sandal in brown, but I really prefer flat sandals in this style. Mogil also has a fantastic selection of handbags at Pixie Market. They’re very obviously 80’s inspired, but in a tasteful way, and are totally workable in a contemporary wardrobe. My favorite is this oversized clutch:
