It’s a clog smackdown LOL 🙂
MIA Sweden Clog Sandals – $88 at Need Supply co. (use code PEOPLE for 20% off through 5/24/2010), $89 at Zappos and $96 at DSW (whoa!!):
VS
Swedish Hasbeens – this is the pair I have, which is higher-heeled than the MIA version (I prefer the higher heel), but Swedish Hasbeens does make a low-heeled version and I can NOT tell a difference between the MIAs and Swedish Hasbeens. The lower heel version identical to the MIAs are $149 and the higher heel version is $199:
I cannot speak to the quality of MIA, but for the price (especially if you’re a size 6, you can get the pair at Need Supply for 20% off!), I’d go for them over the Swedish Hasbeens if you’re in the market for a pair of these clogs. I love the tan color too….Swedish Hasbeens definitely has better color options, but if you’re looking for a nice, simple pair of tan sandals, go for MIA!!
Which do you prefer?
Well. LOL! I have a pair of Hasbeens. And just today, got a pair of Mia’s from NeedSupply (which btw I love). I got the maryjane looking Mia’s. Sadly, it was cheaply made and finished. The wood, honestly, looked like it was hacked out with some blunt instrument. The wood was not at all smooth or finished. There were wood chips everywhere, and I was seriously wondering if I’d get splinters from trying them on. That said, there was lots of room in the footbed area, which Hasbeens sometimes lack (certain Hasbeens feel really narrow on my wide-ish feet). Too bad the overall quality is lacking, since the price point is really nice.
